I have had this vehicle 35 years. This photo was taken 18 years ago. It still looks this good and it is the original color. I am not advocating for 1960s colors...I recommend going to a dealer and checking out a Rapid Red vehicle. In flat light it's underwhelming.
I have. But that was to see Rapid Red vehicles on the lot sitting out in the sun. I'm generally happy with the look then, although I'd prefer a deeper, more metallic red even then. There's still a bit of a nail polish tint about it that I'm not 100% thrilled with.I recommend going to a dealer and checking out a Rapid Red vehicle. In flat light it's underwhelming.
I'd actually be happy if they just gave us as good of a color selection as their other vehicles. Real colors, like the Escape for instance -- Velocity Blue... Dark Persian Green... Sedona Orange... Desert Gold... (it also has Rapid Red)My point is, if Mach-E is a game-changer, then it deserves game-changing color, not something off the shelf that also goes on an Escort.
That is flat winter lighting and the white balance on camera isn't rightWatching the red looking so different from one view to another is so frustrating. In the shot above, it looks really cool. I love the dark shadowing. And it looks like it has a bit more of a metallic depth to it.
But then there's other shots where it looks so flat. Or has a goofy pinkish nail polish tint to it that I don't like.
I watched this video earlier today, and I found myself not liking the look of the red as much. It looks more flat than metallic in this video...
I've seen the Dark Persian Green in person and it's a great color one that I would seriously consider getting.I'd actually be happy if they just gave us as good of a color selection as their other vehicles. Yeah, palm trees and snow-capped peaks. That narrows it down. Probably somewhere in SoCal.But the vehicle is obviously not in Michigan.
Looks like it could be Coachella Valley. Snow on the peaks tells me it's probably a month or two old at a minimum.Yeah, palm trees and snow-capped peaks. That narrows it down. Probably somewhere in SoCal.
Resolution isn't good enough to quite make out that store name in the distance on the right (Lata's?). Or the licence plate from the truck.
Sure looks purdy tho!
Yes I agree. Michigan plates read “Pure Michigan” across the top with an “M” in the middle I believe. That is just what I remember seeing. I live in Northwest Indiana- about 1 hr from the Michigan state lineThat's a Michigan manufacturer plate. Notice the "M" in the middle. But the vehicle is obviously not in Michigan.
