We had two family trips between LA and San Diego, about 140 miles each way. Average one way before and after:
Model X: 100% -> 23%
Mach-E: 100% -> 41%

According to EPA, X should have 57% left and mach-E should have 55% left. A little disappointed with Mach-E, but it did significantly better than X.

Details:
2020 Tesla Model X Long Range 7 seater (EPA: 328 miles)
2022 Mach-E CR1 AWD (EPA: 310 miles)
Temperature: around 65F both times
Top speed on highway: 80
Mode: Chill for Model X, Unbridled for Mach-E

"According to EPA"? Read what the EPA measurement is, it's not a highway trip.

Telsa used 77% of a 100kWh battery, or 77kWh.
Mach-E used 69% of a 91kWh battery, or 63kWh. So it took the Tesla 22% more energy to do the same trip, if all things were equal (weather, load, route).

280/63 = 4.4miles per kilowatt, so something isn't right. If that's one way, then 140/63 = 2.2 miles per kilowatt, and that's not right either...

MME used 59% of battery, I.e. 53.7 kwh. 140/53.7 = 2.61 m/kwh, just about right at 80 mph.

The Mach-E was more efficient, why are you disappointed?

The "range" number is a combined value of the "city" and "highway" driving tests. The "highway" test cycle has speeds that average in the low 60's. Looking at the EPA figures for your car, the much-slower-than-you-drove "highway" test comes up with a range of about 290 miles. So no, I am not surprised by your result.

Agreed. I'm seeing around 2.7 m/kwh at about 80 as well.
