Got recall OTA done

I got the recall done over the air yesterday and with a few notable changes

1) My mileage guestometer went up when fully charged by about 20 miles
2) My auto braking brakes now are much softer

but

3) even though I had the updated done and a message saying it had been completed, I still have the logo on my My Ford website saying update needed

In my experience it takes a few days for one part of Ford to talk to another part of Ford. As long as you have confirmation that the update was successful then don't worry too much

I just had mine done this morning at a dealer (all went well without a hitch). Maybe I should have waited for the OTA....

Recall paperwork has to be processed and entered. Within 2 weeks it should disappear.

I just had mine done this morning at a dealer (all went well without a hitch). Maybe I should have waited for the OTA....

If that was the HVBJB recall you have just had then you would have been waiting a long time. As has been mentioned before, an OTA is NOT being made available to UK vehicles, it HAS to be done by the dealer. Something to do with the alarm system????

After the ota recall was completed I had to reset numerous settings.....the strangest was it changed mph to kph (IN TEXAS) and shut off the alarm

Dealer did my heebyjeeby update yesterday, took 6 hours, no issues. I haven't noticed any changes to settings or driving, though have only put about 8 miles on it since.

My mileage went up. It was because it reset my charge level at my home charger. Went from 80 percent back to 100.

That makes sense - I was wondering why I was suddenly getting 211+ miles on my GOM when I normally top out in the 190s, even in perfect weather. Just remembered I got the OTA update a couple days ago as well.

It took a while for it to disappear after the OTA update.

Recall paperwork has to be processed and entered. Within 2 weeks it should disappear.

Take the recall notice on your phone, and print it. Then, take the piece of paper and throw it in the air, running around blowing underneath it. Alternatively, use a leaf blower.

Got mine yesterday too. Haven't had a chance to drive her yet to see what may have changed. The wifey poo has though. But I doubt she noticed anything.

BTW - your full charge GOM has increased because your driving history probably got reset during the update. That is a common occurrence.
