I saw this title of this thread and I said to myself oh somebody else already put this out there as well. But an email I got this morning saying that Ford is now going to take away any points you have in 18 months if you don’t have one of their Visa cards so you can’t just hang onto those points as long as you want, I don’t have one of the Ford Visa cards

I wonder if Sirius is having money problems, or just a bigger than normal push for customers.
My 2018 F 150 came setup for Sirius. I subscribed until 2021 when my wife bought new car. I was also paying for subscription in the car she traded. I subscribed for her while she would be in the truck. She listens to the radio, I don't much. She said she would pay for Sirius in new car.
I then cancelled Sirius in the truck. Not an easy thing to do. That was in 2021.
I heard nothing from Sirius until two months ago. In the last two months I have received five letters offering a subscription for five dollars a month for a year.

I think it is both.

I routinely receive offers for $4/mo (which is around $5.67/mo after fees), and recently received an offer for $4/mo plus a $20 Visa prepaid card (which negated the fees). I usually get these offers within 3-4 months after canceling.

So, do we think this FordPass SiriusXM offer would work for ANY new subscription, even if it is for a different car?

Might be.
I didn't hear from them for over three years.
Just looked at last letter, no visa mentioned.
I would not want or accept a visa from Sirius or Ford.

I would say yes. My wife changed subscription from trade in to new car, on phone while setting in dealer lot. And how subscription was paid.
Edit to add took five minutes maybe ten.

Once I discovered I get less commercials from terrestrial radio than I do from Sirius I was done. Maybe I'm just lucky where I live, but with 5 local stations I can always find music I like. And I already know only old people listen to radio, probably another problem they have. Why pay for Sirius when you can just stream what you want for free (or cheaper). Can't be that many Howard Stern fanatics left, but I'm sure he's happy to still be on their payroll.

I prefer Classical Music and Jazz. A 125 GB USB drive contains a musical collection which staisifies my entertainment desires. If you like to listen to the latest hits from Eminem, Jay-Z and Taylor Swift, then Sirius XM may be a good choice. (I'm going to use my ForsPass points to buy a 12V battery).

call them and get a lower price. I'm paying maybe $7/mo. all in. I used the $100 from Ford points to pay most of my year's subscription. Every year, call in and get a lower price.
