We are happy customers. Accepted delivery on 3/25 of my Premium Rapid Red (everyone loves the color) 2WD Extended range. Built week of February 14. Roof is aligned and provides a great view. Other than the low speed pedestrian sound (in the manual) no buzz. The FordPass app and my IPhone required some repeated app restarts on my phone but it now works fine. Connected the Wifi to the home Network no issues.

I find the build quality to be very good. Better only slightly then my departed F150 King Ranch and on par with my Mustang EcoBoost convertible and a damn site better then the Teslas in my neighborhood. Only issue's so far was a one time event a somewhat non descript HEV-Hazard requesting I pull over and stop. Per the dealer it was likely a known issue with the 12 volt battery. Shut down and restarted the car 3 times and it cleared and has not been back. The one thing I wonder about is I had placed the car in whisper mode. On the 3rd restart I placed the car in Engaged mode and have not seen the issue since. No idea if the dive mode is related.

Thanks for the heads up. My wife has exactly the same car arriving in 2 weeks. Now I am concerned and we will examine closely.

I am surprised at Ford shipping something like this. I own a 2019 special edition Bullitt Mustang and have been really impressed with its quality. On the other hand, I drive a Taycan Turbo and have had many quality issues, not the basics of the car and body, but electronics and software glitches galore. The traditional car companies are having difficulty transitioning to electric car platforms. Plus their dealers are woefully untrained regarding the electric models. I am regularly teaching the Porsche dealer things about the Taycan that I learn on forums, and I suspect that our Ford dealer will be the same.

The dealership service business model is going to make this a difficult transition. Until they put their money where their mouth is and start fairly compensating technicians there will be a lot of issues like you describe (teaching the dealer about the car).

. This would not be a very expensive thing to do at the plant to ensure these issues were not reaching the customer.
Exact same thing I've said on the Tesla forums.

And I am due any day now, for a new Pano due to breakage. I am terrifoed of the resu7lt of the replacement. I mean if the factory can't get it right, how is a random body shop/ glass vendor? Then what do I due if it's messed up after replacement? I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but I hate the stupid Pano. probably skip it if I go ahead with a GT.

As long as you get a good glass installer, I would have more confidence in them than the assembly line. They are likely to take their time and make sure it is in there correctly.
At the factory the line needs to keep moving, so the roof gets slapped on and the vehicle moves along. If the machine that places the glass is not calibrated correctly you are going to have the issues that some owners are seeing.

Hi all. I just got off the phone with our MME's *dedicated* phone assistance line! I called 833-385-0523 and spoke to absolutely no one for 15 straight minutes! There was no option to leave a callback number for a rep to call you later. I think 15 min on hold is pretty reasonable with no human pick-up. I've called other carmakers in the past and was able to reach a rep in under 5 min! One was last year in summer. It's Monday, yes... I get it.

Hi all. Very sadly I had to reject delivery of my beautiful Rapid Red ER AWD Premium MME yesterday at our dealer - Ken Grody Ford, Orange County. I reserved around New Year's 2020 and converted to order in June 2020. My family was really, really excited to get her this week! We are completing a major rewiring of our house electrical panels to accommodate two new charging circuits!

Why did I reject delivery? Sadly, my Mach-E joined the club of poorly aligned/installed panoramic glass roofs. It was so lopsided and apparent from a distance. The leading edge of the panoramic roof was flush with windshield on driver's side and lifted up approx 3/8" -5/16" in the passenger side. There was no rubber seals/edging along the protruding pano roof leading edge frame.

I also noted that the driver's instrument screen buzzed loudly when parked and driving at city speeds. A liftgate gasket was damaged by tool marks. I also noticed the right-rear quarter panel was slightly misaligned next to talelight (minor).

The salesman acknowledged the pano roof issue and said maybe a glass shop could fix it but couldn't promise anything. He would sell the car 100% as-is by today. I am really sad to walk away from such an awesome EV in a beautiful color. My test drive was great! No rattles, squeaks, etc... just buzzing screen area which salesman said was normal.

I was told that their business offices would be in touch with me next week about my deposit. What should I do? I really want my MME but want zero major quality issues -- at least ones that you can see and obviously Ford hasn't addressed just yet!?? Ugggggggg. What should I do? My entire family is totally disappointed and sad! Did Ford just ignore it? Ugggggg!

I realize that pictures usually don't do this sort of thing justice, but did want to just say that from these pictures the average joe would be completely unable to tell anything from probably more than a foot or two away.

Besides the look, did it perform poorly? E.g., was there wind noise, creaks, whistles, cracks, any side-effects?

You are of course free to buy or not buy whatever makes you happy, and even if this transition can't bee seen by most folks from the next car over in the lane but it bothers you, buy all means move on and get a different car. Not judging, just trying to understand the extent if that makes sense.

I hope so. I wonder how it is mounted. From underneath with some sort of hold down clips, or from above sealed like a windshield. I'm thinking from inside the car, which means removal of all the roof line trim, mirror etc., ugggh I hear the sound of breaking clips in my head already...

That's pretty bad. Someone else pointed out it might be a windshield mis-alignment. Do you think that could be a possibility? Also, have you tweeted about this to Ford or any of their execs? They might not know about this. We assume they monitor these forums, but they might not.

I wonder if the windshield was pushed down too far? I would place another order or look for one in stock.

Ford is looking into my issue, also with the pano. I've not said what I wanted to do with it, but I wouldn't want a dealer to fix it, but it seems like they have an issue at the factory that needs to be resolved.

Simply put: I would not accept a misaligned pano roof. Doing so, you may experience water infiltration down the road. Actually, I would prefer the MME Premium without the pano roof. I'm hoping the '22 model makes it an option.
