That is what I been doing and it has nothing to do with a heavy foot it is all about me trying to extend the battery life ;) Last time I checked the battery SOH was 97.5% after 3.5 years. So if OBD is accurate not bad at all.

If your daily commute is never over 100 miles and you have 250 miles of range those batteries should last you awhile. Should even still work at 30% degradation. At 50% degradation you have 25 miles left at the end of the day; theoretically. Only time range matters in an EV here is on long distance trips. For a commuter it is a no brainer. Buy a cheap one and start saving.
