I think price negotiation is after the order process. The customer sales price is irrelevant to the factory when building the vehicles. The price is negotiated between the customer and dealer.I wonder how this process will work with AXZ plan pricing. Will it be part of the system or some negotiation with the dealer after the fact.
Looks like they are requiring a deposit. Not sure if its refundable or not, but that could be a wrinkle people need to anticipate. I think the order agreement on pre-orders leaves wiggle room for Tesla, but they have never used it. In fact, the many of the Y pre-orders were upgraded at no additional cost to the buyer. (Due to the version not ending up being produced as pre-ordered.) Mainly upgraded interiors and wheels.Looks like they are requiring a deposit. When Tesla takes an online order can the price upon delivery change? Not asking you specifically. When does Tesla lock in a price?
According to my dealer, though not in writing, he said deposit right up to the time of delivery is refundable. I'm not sure how reliable this info is.Looks like they are requiring a deposit. I had a similar concern but more so since I purchased the 100 shares last month to qualify for X plan pricing. I know the holding period is 6 months and was counting on the X-plan PIN being needed upon delivery or finalization of the sale towards the end of the year. I did email Ford AXZ for info but just got the standard 6 months holding and instructions for requesting. I realize I could do MCA but didn’t want to sink any more cash into this without solid info and plans. Hopefully they won’t need the PIN until later.I wonder how this process will work with AXZ plan pricing. Will it be part of the system or some negotiation with the dealer after the fact.
This is what we've been told all along (by Ford, anyway... I know some dealers have said otherwise). I just thought it was reassuring to see that in print. Even though "actual screens may look different."Customers can make changes to their reservations online before ordering by clicking on "Make Changes to Vehicle" at the bottom of the screen.
