Has there been any thought to a nice black leather-covered pad that could be created/applied to the left side of the phone-rest tray to provide a resting place for a tall driver's right knee/shin during long-haul trips? I'd also add, a kindly-placed bumper on the bottom left corner of the center console display would go miles to helping me avoid tears on those days when I enter too quickly and don't place my knee in exactly the right place to keep my from bumping it. That bottom corner is sharper that one realizes...until it's too late :)

This is my only issue with seating position in the car. that bottom part of screen is a killer esp for people nearing 6 feet in height

Yep, agreed. At 6'5" the car is pretty comfortable....except for that lower left corner on the center screen. I use the setting where the seat moves back for entry and exit so I don't hit it much when getting in. But resting my knee against it when driving can hurt.

My high tech solution is a pool floaty, custom measured and cut to fit between my right thigh and the phone rest tray. I also put a pvc water pipe (3/4 inch) inside the floaty for more support. It works surprisingly well.

Pipe insulation works great for me (no pool floaty required). Still working after 2 years.

At 6ft 2 in I find No problems. I raised the back seat almost straight because it helps with my bad back.
