As a male who has been driving for over 50 years I never read automobile owners manuals. I might look things up when I need to - like how to change a cabin air filter or something - but I know how to drive. When I get a new ICE vehicle I get in and drive. When I sold my last pure ICE vehicle the owner's manual was still shrink-wrapped in the glove box and I had owned the car for 7 years.
This is a friendly reminder to my fellow MME owners to read the owner's manual. This is not just another car in more ways than being electric, it is a highly sophisticated collection of hardware controlled by a highly sophisticated and evolving set of software. It's more like operating a computer than driving. I keep discovering features and settings like Nav turns displaying on the small screen in front of the driver and the settings in Intelligent Cruise Control that I didn't know were there. There are layers and layers of settings, some not entirely intuitive (and many not at all easy to find.) I finally broke down and read the entire owner's manual, start to finish, and the supliment, and I learned quite a lot.
This may be an obvious thing to many of you, but to me learning more than trivia from an owner's manual was a new experience. I urge you to download the manual, either from your Ford account or from Ford Pass or both. Read it. You will likely learn something no matter how much you know or think you know about cars.
