I'm sick of Ford and their so-called OTA updates haven't seen an update since March. still on 2.7.1. With 3 recalls and nothing but silence from Ford they can go to (you know where), Wish I could sell the damned thing.... FORD quit giving us the runaround!
I had the same problem (stuck at 1.7.1) and I had to have the dealer update the car to the then current Powerup update that included BC. Since then, the car has done two Powerup updates OTA without issue (one was HV recall/unintended acceleration update and the other a DC charging priority update). I had someone from Ford in the EA program helping me along the way to get past 1.7.1 and she (Ford) actually sent a Field Engineer out to the dealer to help the mechanic in performing the updates. They had to keep my car overnight to complete it. Ford did not give me a run around but I did have to contact them with my problem and it took some time before the work was done.

After the upgrade I manually stopped charging at 80% and reset my home charging for 90% anytime it’s plugged in. Too bad they don’t have an OTA to take care of those freaking glass recalls!! Lol

I am at 2.8.1 and have no issues with the updates. I am waiting for this new update to fix the recall. Can you be having a wifi issue? Because I read that it is easier to connect your vehicle to wifi for faster updates. So can be do to signal strength? Just my thought.

Ours showed up and performed last night. Job 1 2021 AWD ER Premium. Had to update all settings again this AM. Really could not tell any difference in driving....I rarely have to use brakes unless an idiot pulls out in front of me.

It shows my Wi-Fi is connected (it is an Xfinity MESH network with a Pod in the garage and the Xfinity network test I ran shows a very strong signal) and like I said I did receive the two OTA updates while the car was in the garage (I assume using Wi-Fi). The AT&T cellular signal where I live is poor and so I don't think it was over the cellular route especially in a closed garage. I got the recall update, the unintended acceleration update and a priority DC charging update (these are not listed with OTA number(s) just a description of what was updated).

Got in my car yesterday to see if I'd gotten this update and noticed that Auto Updates was turned off for some reason. Toggled it on and got the update available screen that everyone's posting in this thread. Tapped the Update Now button, got out of the car and locked it up. A few minutes later I checked Fordpass and it said the update would be applied at the next scheduled time. Got in the car and scheduled the update for 30 minutes later, again locked it up and walked away. Checked it a couple hours later, same message, will be updated at the next scheduled time. Scheduled it for 9:00 this morning, parked it in the driveway instead of the garage, just in case, same result. Very aggravating.

Went back out around 11:00, turned it on to run a/c, got a 12volt battery fault, service soon message, I guess that's maybe why it's failing. I haven't driven it much in the last two weeks. Maybe I need to go for a long ride today.

I'm a 2021 first batch; my OTA message came in last Friday. Followed instructions, no problems. Took abt 15 -20 minutes.
No need to go to the dealer on this one.

Apparently, yes :(
Anyone notice that their charging rate was reduced after the update was installed? On my home Level II 240V charger I was charging at about 22 mph before the update, and now it charges at about half that. If this is a permanent feature, not happy with that.

Not sure this will help but did you reset your charging locations? The only issues regarding charging that I have read is that owners have had to reset some settings.

Re-tried at 1:00 with car charging in the garage. Success! Apparently it was the LVB charge level preventing the update. This is my first successful OTA update since my dealer spent about a week updating my car to the latest software after previous failures OTA.

I believe someone else also mentioned this but I noticed more battery has been unlocked on my SR AWD after getting these OTA updates. I charged to 100% last night and when I checked the kWh to empty divided by the state of charging % in car scanner, I am seeing 70kWh.

We got the same updates yesterday evening.
2021 Select AWD. Manufactured in March I believe.
How do you like your car? Range? Tech quirks? Have an order with lots of thoughts on whether to take it or not instead of a Tesla.
