The major us brands asked the president to extend due to supply issues.

Sad to hear this for everyone who has been waiting and will now have their delivery pushed back (I'm still waiting on a production date), but is likely good news for those of us with early 2022 orders as this decreases the chance that Ford could cross the 200,000 vehicle threshold in Q2 for tax credit purposes. So it seems highly likely now that the full $7,500 tax credit will be in effect through the rest of 2022.

lol yup... I ordered mine in nov and sold my car in Dec becuase I was expecting my MME in april according to the timeline.... I didn't need a car until May so I thought I was good.... Now its June and I'm still in production since 5/30 lol I guess Ford wasn't playing around with that 20+ week estimate when I bought in November... I just hope they give us some goodies or something for waiting so damn long.
50.4 weeks. No goodies.

I have a 2022 Premium ER RWD and no recall yet on my VIN or letter that I bought in Feb. I have a GTPE that I ordered back in Dec. 2021, built 05/19 and of course sitting at my dealership and I'm just drewlling over the Pony.
Is the recall on the GT trims and all other AWD trims with ER batteries only? Has anybody got a recall letter on any other trims especially RWD's?
Sorry if this questioned has been answered already but with 89 pages strong can't keep up or tried looking on Ford's side of this crazy matter🥺.....THANKS!!

Your VIN search has told you nothing. Yesterday the only place it showed was ETIS. You need to wait for the FordPass app to show you that you have a recall, also on Ford.com.
You mean like this? (searched today 06/18/22). Though notice there is an * after the status
Ford Mustang Mach-E Safety Recall 22S41 - 2021-2022 Mach E - HVBJB Recall [high voltage battery main contactors may overheat] 1655554336931

so far 286/48924 = 0.58% of cars so far effected. So more chance of getting a flat tyre IMHO. However it's worth playing safe.
You need to look at it as a function of miles driven and age / condition of components impacted.

0.58% failure rate on brand new cars that have not gone through enough charge / discharge / WOT cycles is pretty high and will get exponentially worse over a short period of time.

That's been a fact on every single vehicle -- from a variety of manufacturers -- that I've owned in my lifetime.

This says nothing about the Chinese vehicles, though. I'm guessing none of them are engineered to perfection, either.
You keep on trying for that but never seem to be able to knock it off. Getting close is usually enough. Don't think I have ever seen perfect but nothing wrong with good enough.
I don't think you understand a lot about electricity but thats ok. There have been some very good educated guesses on the detection methods Ford will use in this thread. It's not like they had sensors in there that were turned off, they're just using the sensors they have to do other things they didn't expect to use them for.

I agree hardware replacements are probably required for at a minimum the GTs, but if the failure rate of EX4's and other trims is tiny then it seems silly to spend the money to replace ALL of those when you can use software to predict failures instead which is a safe method. Of course if they find out they can't truly predict the failures then a full recall of hardware will be required.

Not saying I'm right....just my guess. Hopeful guess.
That really sounds like a lot of figuring for a piece of hardware that is not robust enough. Best to fix a problem where the problem occurs going back multi steps can add huge complexity. I do not think Ford would be so transparent showing the lengths they will go to save a buck if this was one of their suppliers problems (should have been stated as a temp fix until a part is replaced).

So you figure some will remain with the part that is not robust enough and be patched? Image the PR/liability on that if the patch does not work and a dangerous condition arises. With what I have seen so far and the state of Fords software a software fix is a no brainer ;) send it OTA. Kind of glad we are all still speculating as I do not own the GT so do not find your speculation hopeful in the slightest. Losing what you had can sometimes be noticeable and not fun. I thought OTA was for the opposite?

It’s just you (sort of). It’s also this fairly worthless thread. What could have, and should have, been a great thread discussing the potential causes and various solutions as well as whether it relates to the other GT issues has degenerated into a bitching fest and general proclamations that Ford is an impossible cross between the Keystone cops and the Galactic Empire with Jim Farley as either Episode 9’s Palpatine or Darth Vader reborn, or both.

90 pages and less that 6 genuinely useful posts. That’s a new low in these parts.
This was never going to be a great thread. Listen to yourself: "discussing the potential causes and various solutions and whether it relates..." This is the dictionary definition of ill-informed speculation. Ill-informed, simply because Ford is not providing much information. In the absence of good information, all we can do is shoot the breeze, so that's what's happening.

Your estimate of fewer than 6 useful posts is generous.

A joke that went around in the late '90s where Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer industry with the auto industry and stated: “If GM had kept up with the technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25.00 cars that got 1,000 miles to the gallon.”

Jack Welsh responds: "If GM had developed technology like Microsoft, for no reason at all, your car would crash twice a day. Occasionally, executing a maneuver such as a left-turn would cause your car to shut down and refuse to restart, and you would have to reinstall the engine. When your car died on the freeway for no reason, you would just accept this, restart and drive on."
Jack Walsh ran GE into the ground…
