This was never going to be a great thread. Listen to yourself: "discussing the potential causes and various solutions and whether it relates..." This is the dictionary definition of ill-informed speculation. Ill-informed, simply because Ford is not providing much information. In the absence of good information, all we can do is shoot the breeze, so that's what's happening.

Your estimate of fewer than 6 useful posts is generous.
Those standards for intelligent discussion would result in removal of most all threads on this forum. ;)

This thread is going to be placed onignore. It had potential, but like too many tgrwds here, it live fine yo it’s lowest expectations.

I know for a fact there is new hardware that is being produced. I also know for a fact the software isn't ready from what I've been told by the powers that be. So that's where we are now. Doesn't mean the person who told me this is right, but I do know for a validated fact there is new hardware...I just don't know what it is going into...if anything other than broken cars.
Does this then confirm that the new 25 May + builds are getting new hardware?

My impression as well. The problem has to be fixed or the recall remains unresolved. If the solution applied to the problem turns out to not resolve it, then a second recall is issued that could involve hardware or something else. Either way, Ford will have to represent the software update as a fix. This is what happened with the Bolt battery recall, and Ford might be going the same route with this one. This might look to some like a two-step solution, but it isn't.

Ford will have to "represent" it as a fix? It sure sounds like you are saying Ford will have to lie.

Ford does not have to lie. Ford might choose to lie. It does not have to lie.

I have a 2022 Premium ER RWD and no recall yet on my VIN or letter that I bought in Feb. I have a GTPE that I ordered back in Dec. 2021, built 05/19 and of course sitting at my dealership and I'm just drewlling over the Pony.
Is the recall on the GT trims and all other AWD trims with ER batteries only? Has anybody got a recall letter on any other trims especially RWD's?
Sorry if this questioned has been answered already but with 89 pages strong can't keep up or tried looking on Ford's side of this crazy matter🥺.....THANKS!!

Ford Mustang Mach-E Safety Recall 22S41 - 2021-2022 Mach E - HVBJB Recall [high voltage battery main contactors may overheat] 1655559769202
My RWD SR (build 22/01) has been blocked for delivery (was planned today ) 😪. So all cars are affected or under investigation, not only GT, ER,....

I know this thread is useless for information as no one knows the final results as all are just speculating or complaining.

Ford technically has a fix, it's just not what owners want or signed up for before buying the MME. Ford has to limit by using software to protect poorly designed components. Performance will suffer, we just don't know the extent of it.

There is not much we can do, Ford is not obligated to upgrade the part. They are obligated to fix the problem anyway they can, and it turns out software will be it.

Did I get anything wrong?

The MachE HV battery is 400v, and at GT's maximum power draw of 358 kw that'd be 895 amps.
(For ER AWD it's 695A, and for ER RWD it's 540A, and for SR it's 495A.)
Why is my RWD SR blocked for delivery?

I would say most of what you wrote is wrong, but I guess you are entitled to speculate just like the rest of us.

so I got something right? ha

which part?

speculation is right, all I got to go on right now.

However there is a fix coming and it's software, unless you know otherwise?

Correct - All manufactured prior to 5/25 are under the recall at this time. That may change but my understanding is we will not know for 100% until mid July.

If they allowed delivery because it clears the recall. Everyone will know what car is not affected. I don't think Ford wants that yet.
Either that, or the Amperage on the SR RWD is still too high for the part.
