Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch w/ Fordpass App?

Good Day Everyone!

I'm looking at purchasing a Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch Classic 4...does the Ford Pass App work with the smart watch? Can it use PAAK?

If no to PAAK, are you able to remote start from the watch or unlock the doors from it?

Happily wearing my Galaxy 4 Active right now. Nope, no Fordpass app for WearOS. Can't imagine how bad they could kill watch battery life anyway.

The functionality could be added later. Ford had an app called MyFord Mobile App that included smart watch functionality for the C-Max Energi, Focus EV, and Fusion Energi.

So we can hold onto to slight hope.

The Ford Pass app worked on the Apple Watch until April 2nd. They removed it from the watch citing there were issues that needed to be addressed and would bring it back after updating the app. It still has not returned.

Apparently Apple watch functions have returned with the iOS FordPass 3.30.0 update. I hope the same functionality will come soon for Android (Note 20 and Samsung 3 watch in my case).

Yep, my wife is on an iPhone and her watch app works. Remote starts the car, locks and unlocks.

Really hope Samsung adds support to the Galaxy 4 watch soon. Or Ford, whoever needs to make it happen.

FordPass 3.30 did bring back the functionality on the Apple Watch.

FordPass is for all Ford cars ... not just the Mach-E. Under the covers it determines what type of car you have and what features are available, and therefore which controls to hide/reveal.

On the watch, however, it's much simpler... lock/unlock and remote start are the only controls regardless of the car (assuming the car is new enough to be supported at all.)

I started playing with using Google Assistant for lock/unlock/remote start. I'm liking it. I don't have to pull out my phone or have it on me if I want to remote start while at home, and I like being able to check the SOC without opening the app, too.

Maybe with Samsung moving from Tizen to WearOS and there now being a consolidated watch platform for Android, it will make sense for Ford to develop a WearOS app.

Yesterday a Bronco owner I was talking with started his vehicle with his Apple Watch. I have a Galaxy S22+ and Watch 5 Pro. Phone works well enough with Fordpass but nothing for Wear OS yet. I'm nine months into my Mach-E ownership. As a tech geek, I'm not overly impressed with either Ford or Google when it comes to software and this car. Fortunately, we are talking software and there is always hope for improvement so.....
