I agree. I had a select with Tech that would have the $600 for activation. The WS listed Active Prep and was $600 less than current, $2600 vs $3200.I’ll try this again.
The $600 is for activating Bluecruise.
The cars may come with the capability, but it costs $600 to activate it for 3 years (subscription).
Earlier this year it was something they made “standard” and raised the prices by $600. It wasn’t a secret. Ford told us about the $600.
Here is another article if it helps:
https://www.autonews.com/mobility-report/fords-bluecruise-hands-free-system-cost-600-3-years
“Ford said Wednesday that BlueCruise software, activated through an over-the-air-update, will cost $600 for a three-year subscription, on top of the price of the hardware that varies by vehicle.”
And here it is from Ford.com-
https://media.ford.com/content/ford...road-trips-bluecruise-hands-free-driving.html
“For Mustang Mach-E, BlueCruise comes standard on CA Route 1, Premium and First Edition variants. It’s an available package on the Select trim for $3,200 – $ 600 for the software and $2,600 for the rest of the package – as part of the larger Comfort and Technology package, which includes features such as a 360-degree camera, heated front seats and heated steering wheel.
I bought the 21 premium last week, July build. Window sticker shown, with full activated BlueCruise and the car was $600 less than the August build cost. Both list BlueCruise, not prep like my Select had….. anyway non issue, I guess I saved $600, got BC too and it works.
