I hear that, and why I actually went down to 18s for my aftermarket wheels vs. the premium 19s. Also went for a slightly larger tire size, increasing the sidewall height just a bit. Not too far off OEM specs at all, using online wheel size comparison calculators.I would never go for oversized wheels with the quality of our roads. the smaller the sidewall, the harder the ride and the bigger chance you have at damaging your wheels when you inevitably hit a pothole.
Some engineer youtuber recently covered how they destroyed their Model 3 performance wheels because they are oversized when he hit a pothole (at a not ridiculous speed), yet other cars hit the same pothole at similar speeds and were fine.
Love the "fat tire" look it has given the car, and ride quality is actually improved. Still a bouncy ride, but the impact felt from bumps are much better absorbed. The tires themselves vs. stock help a great deal as well, especially with the road noise.
