Was over on the Bronco6g forum and someone posted this photo they said was at Shelby America. Thought I would share it here.

Right on! I'll be down there for the Shelby Bash in a couple of weeks. I'll snoop around. I've got my name on the list at Shelby American in case they offer a package.

I wouldn't be surprised. During the Mach-E's Coast-to-Coast Reimagined Tour, they made stops at Shelby American in Vegas and the Carroll Shelby Foundation in Gardena, CA. I was lucky enough to attend the CA event. The Shelby people seemed pretty enthusiastic about the Mach-E and mentioned several times that Carroll Shelby was an experimenter and he'd like it too.

I have some footage of the event here (at the 34:08 mark):

The only time I have seen that used is against the Ford built Shelby's - They aren't in the official Shelby register.

Let me try this again since my other comment was removed for some reason.

What will Shelby American do to the GT/PE platform for the $20-30K extra? Serious question. Decals, badges, wheel/tire package? Suspension mods on the non-magneride equipped GTs? Because I’m highly skeptical that they’re going to be getting anything extra out of the HV pack/motors with Ford’s blessing/cooperation.

Yeah - I think this will be mainly an appearance (+ maybe aero) package. Could be similar to the Shelby Edition GT350s which is about $10k. Things I could see

- Dash plaque / Shelby registry
- New wheels / tires
- New suspension or suspension tuning
- Stripes
- New Splitter and Diffuser
- New Spoiler or Wing
- Seat recovering
- Replace door sill plaques
- Replace or cover pedals
- New steering wheel? (flat bottom)
- Maybe a cooling system upgrade (really not sure on this one)

I'm in the same boat. I feel like this is just a ploy to appeal to Shelby fanboys. Nothing wrong with that, but this isn't an ICE car that can be noticeably upgraded without actual development into a different electric drivetrain - something that isn't in their wheelhouse. I can be proven wrong, though...

I think you have a solid list there, except they won't do a steering wheel due to the cost of certifying it. Gary (Pres) and Vince (VP) meet with Ford quarterly to review upcoming models. One thing they do is get input from Ford on upgrades that can be done that either were too expensive, or time consuming to feature on the cars directly from Ford.

Yep, probably, but you know if its built to the kick the ICE Shelby's ass, then who gets the last laugh?

The GT500 driver.

Because they may be able to make the Mach E faster in a straight line, but zero chance it beats a GT500 on a track until you go to the extreme 1400 hp Mach E.

And if you’re gonna compare the extremely modified 1400, you’d have to look at an extremely modified GT500.

So in no reasonable comparison will the Shelby Mach E be kicking the ass of the GT500.
