My electrician said this weekend looks good to do the wiring. Just waiting on him to let me know when. I should have a Grizzl-e up and running before Monday.

He just texted me. 9:00 am tomorrow morning! Got to get excited about SOMETHING.
You better hope nobody catches you in the empty garage at 2am sitting in a lawn chair pretending to be driving your mach-e along a twisty road.

not that I have experience with such things...

No, those video games are in the Teslas.

Sure, but the attempted joke was that he doesn't have the car yet, so he's sitting in a lawn chair pretending to be sitting in his Mach E:
sitting in a lawn chair
Clearly that joke missed... I'll try to do better next time

Hi All - I'm a newbie here - thank you for helping me learn as I wait for my MME!
Here's what I think I've learned reading this thread - please correct me where I'm wrong:
1. 30% tax credit expires 12/31/2020 - save $ and install now;
2. The Ford Installed Charger is more expensive than other alternatives which will also work - but may be worth it because it should better integrate with the MME and the Ford app;
3. Any of these installed chargers should charge significantly faster than the Ford-supplied mobile charger (50% faster?).
Great Forum, great info - thank you!

Welcome! Just a clarification on #3. The Ford Connected charger ($799) is 48A. Yes, that's 50% faster than the 32A included mobile charger. But most of the others we're talking about are either 32A or 40A.

And even 32A should easily fill the MME overnight for most people. 32A x 240V = 7.6 kW. That would fill 70% of the 88 kWh battery in 8 hours overnight.

I took a different approach and mounted my Grizzl-e on the ceiling. I like the idea of having quick access to charging. Even put in a retractable tool balancer so that there wouldn't be a need to coil up the cable when leaving in a rush.
