Greetings Ford family. Here to make a quick introduction of Signature Wheel, and myself Terrance. I am the Director of our Ford, Porsche, and Motorsport Division at Signature Wheel. We specialize in custom building fully forged aluminum wheels engineered for both street and performance use.
Over the past four years I have had the pleasure of building some amazing wheel setups for all the offerings Ford has. I take a 1:1 approach to developing custom wheel fitments geared toward your performance and aesthetic needs. We are lucky to be the Official Wheel Partner of the Ford Performance Racing School, and a friend to many enthusiasts in the Mustang community.
Background
Signature was launched in 2016 and is one of the fastest growing fully forged wheel brands in the market. We are a small outfit of enthusiasts from Porsche, Lamborghini, Mustang, GM, and more. All of us are based here in California where the wheels are designed. The beauty of our organization is a focus on working directly with the enthusiast. No other intermediaries, no vendors, no additional overhead, no need to charge extra money. Orders are placed, submitted, built and shipped direct to you. This keeps our pricing low and makes us very competitive. Wheels are built in Taiwan with a strategic partner we hold to our strict engineering standards. The goal here is to provide the highest performing wheel to our clients without excessive cost. Particularly in the Mustang scene I want to see fully forged and lightweight wheels on our platform without you guys having to break the bank or be stuck with improper fitments.
The Wheels
Up to now I have had experience with several wheel companies on my personal cars, and other enthusiasts. I have been disappointed many times by what the market provides to us. Either a wheel with poor construction and finish at a low price, a wheel that was too expensive for the average owner to buy, or less than modern (and heavy) designs at a reasonable price. One thing I hated was going to a car show and seeing a bunch of cars all running the same wheel. Our wheel line continues to grow as we come up with new designs, and are open to hear from consumers about what they want. Development of unique designs and offering a wide array of finishes is a must, especially since we all have Signature Wheels on our own cars. One of the best features is we have almost DOUBLED clearance over OEM on the GT350 brake package at the barrel and wheel face!
Construction
All of our lineup is made from solid cores of forged 6061 T6 aluminum. All wheels are CNC'd to perfection at our facility in Taiwan and custom made for each application. These are not flow formed, rotary forged, spun forged, or any other. Each set takes 4-5 weeks to build, powder coat, then it is shipped directly to you. All the wheels go through strict finite element analysis prior to production. Once approved we build multiple samples in varying sizes/concavity to subject to JWL and VIA Dynamic cornering fatigue test equipment, Dynamic radial fatigue test equipment, and Impact test equipment. Once a design has exceeded those testing standards, we are ready to build them for you.
I have personally used mine for track use, and many others have as well. We actually encourage buyers to put the wheels on track as all wheels are designed with strength, style, and a reduction rotating mass in mind. Our ability to create a fully forged aluminum wheel with increased structural stiffness and rigidity has allowed us propel GT500's into the low 9's, and win races with the GT350.
