Do we know any details about the SiriusXM support on Sync 4A? Specifically:
  • Will we have "song start" like UConnect and some other systems have, meaning when you change to a preset, it will automatically start at the start of the song on that preset (in other words it automatically caches the signal going back a bit so you never miss the start of a song)?
  • Will we have access to all of the "extra channels"? Sirius in MFT and Sync 3 doesn't, and that sucks - channels like Road Trip Radio are pretty great and are stuck up in the higher channels.
I know some of you hate the sound quality etc. but this isn't the thread for that particular discussion.

My guess is that the MME will have all the latest and greates features of SiriusXM.

SXM always tries to put its newest features in the newest cars and thus the MME will likely have both the over-the-air channels as well as the streaming only channels.

Its a marketing thing for SXM: Why would the most hi-tech car available from an OEM not have the most hi-tech features from SXM.

I've wondered if those higher number channels are really broadcast via satellite at all, or are just internet-only "bonus" channels?

Yup they are streaming (funny thing is they have a higher bitrate than satellite, and thus, are higher sound quality too LOL).

They are broadcast for newer receivers to pick up, like UConnect... I've rented many cars with the higher channels (300+) available.

At least they offer a XM antenna, for those who want it.

SiriusXM 360L is a combination streaming + satellite service which is supposed to offer some interesting features (like allowing you to jump to a scoring play in sports in the middle of listening to music and then jump back to your music when its done).

Audio "picture-in-a-picture"? How odd.
