Assuming your Mach-E is updated with latest software. Mine was built on 6/15/2021.
I have Android and this post is related to android phone only.

Go to settings -----> Apps -----> click "Ford Pass" -----> first click permission and make sure your location permission is allowed ( I have allowed all permissions needed for apps) -----> Second click Battery, Turn background permission to always and turn off battery optimization option.

Just so you know, This will drain your battery little more.

What was happening that phone used to turn off ford pass app as well PAAK, once you change above PAAK is always available on your phone for your car and connects to Fordpass app quickly. Since I changed setting as above, PAAK is working flawless.
Your phone may have settings slightly differently, mine is Samsung. ( Please understand the risk you are taking by changing this settings, FYI: I am not a software pro).
Good luck........Hope this may help to some of you!

Good tips. Prior to these changes was FordPass crashing frequently on you?

I also made FP a "never sleeping app" which also seems to help.

I did this when I first got my car, a few things I noticed.

1 it drained my cell phone's battery faster
2 charging updates updated much faster almost in real-time
3 PAAK worked with no issues, even before ford's dealer-installed software fix

I have since gotten a new phone and did not go back in and set this up, thanks for the reminder

Yes. Frequently. I had to pull my phone out and open fordpass app, many times I had to unlock with remote feature on app.

First off, I don't have a mach e yet. I've always assumed half the issues was related to users cellphones, going into permission and sleep mode. Many ppl always have some type of battery saver on sometime during the day.

Glad someone finally tested it and posted. ?
