After moving from my Iphone6S to my new S21 Ultra, I've consistently gotten Paak to work 100% consistently with the Ford App Open before entry.
Some conditions for this to be done
1) Ensure Ford App background activity (not optimized for battery usage) Settings-> Apps-> FordPass-> Tap on Battery -> Allow background activity scrolled to the right and not battery optimized. Doing this puts the FordPass using 5-10% of my total phone battery from 1%, but at least it works, and you can just charge in the car.
2)Ensure Blue tooth is on (haven't tried with headphones connected yet)
3)The app doesn't NEED to be opened, but it's the only way I can double check that it works. Right below the Remote Start button, there's a new "Bluetooth Connected/Disconnected" Message. As long as it says "Bluetooth Connected", I can open my doors and start my car.
