Just threw the new rims and rubber on my wife’s 4X and thought I’d share here. Wheels are all 45 offset. Tires are Continental EC DWS-06 in 255/45-20. Each wheel/tire combo weighs 57 lbs, which is 3 lbs less than the OEM Premium wheels with the summer tire option.

Nice, I have been looking at those exact wheels. I don't know how I missed this post by a month.

If possible, can you take a picture from closer to the front of the wheel? I am curious how "flat" is the surface of the wheel.
Here’s one that may showcase the angle you want. If not, I’ll take more today.

TBD because it finally got colder here right as we installed them. However, our usual mi/kWh seems relatively unchanged when I check the shorter trips. And the lifetime efficiency has stayed at 3.0 mi/kWh so that’s good. But, the handling improved noticeably and we even had the $250 summer tire option on our 4X, and those Continentals were actually pretty grippy.

How about the infamous "bounce"? I doubt that has improved, but wondering about the quality of the ride over rough payment. When my tires are shot, I am considering the ones you purchased, and wonder if the ride quality will be better or not. I am also considering going up to 255/45 R20 from the stock 245/45.

That's pretty good still and better then I expected. I'm looking at the Continentals Extreme Contacts in the 245's. According to tire specs, supposed to fit stock rim.

I’m one that actually likes the relative stiffness of the 4X suspension tuning, but my SS sedan is known to be very stiff so there’s that. I find it not to really be bouncy because after the initial rebound it settles very quickly, not really bouncy in my estimation, just stiff. The switch from the OEM 225/55-19s to the 255/45-20 Continentals didn’t really change ride quality to be honest. Steering response is just as good, impact harshness seems the same, no real downside.

Btw, I have a full set of 245/45-20 DWS06 with 5-7 miles on them posted for $600 in the classifieds. Tire Rack wouldn’t take them back when I returned the ASA GT14s for the crazy noise issue I covered in a different thread. ?
