My car is scheduled to be built next week. So, I am getting more formal estimates for the necessary electrical upgrades and to purchase a charger. Well, it looks like the only available chargers are 32A. Honestly, I wanted a 40A at a minimium. Some days, I do drive a lot and need to make sure I get a full charge overnight. Where should I look for a charger? Amazon has a Grizzl-E with up to 40A charging. How necessary is it for the charger to have wifi? Are there other manufacturers/online stores, I should be looking at? Thanks!!

I'm guessing you mean the Ford Mobile Charger? There are a plethora of EVSEs available above 32A.

Is your car an ER? If so, the 32A will charge 0 to 100% in about 12 hours. In practice you will likely start at 10% (or more) and charge to 90%. That would be about 10 hours. I guess it depends on what your "overnight" is in hours.

Yea, I do have an ER on order. So I would love to charge in 8-10 hours.

Did you check with SRP to see if they expect the CPHF or the JB 40 back in stock anytime soon? The following paragraph was in the e-mail they sent when I ordered my CPHF:
Ford Mustang Mach-E SRP Marketplace EV Chargers 1620084747770

I don't think you are going to find a better price than SRP with the $250 instant rebate.
It's not like you don't have some time to wait for the charger. ;)

Actually, I just finished chatting with them!! Lol. No restock date for the Charge Point HomeFlex and maybe inventory on May 10 foe the JuiceBox 40. The Marketplace does not keep inventory and ship from the manufacturer. This what I was told.

I am getting estimate from electricians this week. So I need to provide some specs. I thing I will stick with a 40 amp charger and have them price out using a 50 A breaker.

I know I have time. But just want to make sure I can get one at some point. Lol

Yeah, the CPHF goes in and out of stock pretty regularly on Amazon too. The slight downside to getting it from SRP is that they only offer the 6-50 plug version. I had a 6-50 outlet installed, then hung the CPHF myself. I plan to buy a 6-50P to 14-50R adapter just in case I ever need to use the Ford mobile charger. Not the optimal solution, but it'll work in a pinch.

A challenge that I am having is that I don't have much room in my electrical panel. So, I need to be a little specific to see if it will actually be a viable solution. I do have time on my side but think I will have the Grizzl-E as a potential back up. I do appreciate you taking the time to respond!

Strange telephone number. ;)

I'm still doing fine with the mobile charger. And I'm still interested in the Ford Connected Charge Station for its supposedly high operating temp capability, ease of mounting right over the top of the two gang electrical box (I think? Maybe?), and 'cause I have a bunch of FordPass Rewards points to redeem towards it.

I haven't looked into ordering it yet though. Not in a big rush until the mobile charger starts flaking out from the heat... if that happens.

The ChargePoint Home Flex also looks like a great option. I sure do wish SRP sold it in the 14-50 variant though.

I just noticed the extra digit. ? I didn't have to call since my CPHF was in stock and delivered quickly. Unlike the car I bought it for... ;)
I would have preferred the 14-50 too, but I'm ok with the 6-50 for $250 off. ?

More importantly than if you have an ER battery, the real question is what you mean by drive a lot. While I generally dislike the miles/hour charging rates, it is useful in determining how fast a charger you really need. How many miles do you generally drive in a day? 50 miles? 100 miles? 150 miles?

The other question you alluded to is your circuit panel. A 40A charger will require a minimum 50A circuit. How much available capacity do you have in your panel?

I do have the capacity for a 50A or 60A circuit. This was confirmed an electrician last night.

I can have 2-3 days a week where I can drive 150/200 miles in a day. I think A 40A charger is a good solution.

If you really want to be on the safe side and have room for a 60A circuit, you can max out with a 48A charger. That's pretty much the maximum for the Mach E.

After looking at different online sources for chargers, I decided that I would use the charger that comes with the Mach-e until I could order one from SRP Marketplace. I planed to check the SRP site daily and wait until the JuiceBox 40 or ChargePoint became available. Just checked and the Juicebox 40 is back in stock. So, my order has been placed!
