Here is my Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium RWD with Extended Battery (Mach-E X) in Infinite Blue Metallic Tinted Clearcoat taken on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Koerner Ford of Syracuse on the day I proudly purchased it.

Unlike other Mustang forums where owners list their Mustang's modifications in a Build thread, I will be listing any changes I make to Blu Max (or Max, for short) here. I will include my experiences in driving and owning Ford's Mustang inspired electric vehicle (EV). In this way, I will have an owner's journal. As of today (March 8, 2024), I will no longer be the owner of Blu Max as I have traded it in for another Mach-e.

I will admit that's what came to my mind first. However, being a Disney fan from way back, I remembered another Max from...

No, no...not the kid or the creature on his shoulder but the metallic robot looking over the kid's shoulder. In the movie, the ship's computer ended up with the voice of Pee Wee Herman and was called Max. As our Mach-E's are controlled mostly by computers, I thought this name fit. Now, if only I could change the wake up phrase to "Hey, Max" or "Hello, Max". That would be cool. Make it happen, Ford!

I pass through Syracuse a couple times a week. Maybe we’ll pass each other someday and give the Mach-E wave. ??

"The blue max" was the name of germany's highest decoration for aviators in WWI, so that's where the title comes from. The main character is modeled after "the red baron", but to avoid any direct attribution to Richthofen they titled the film "the blue max" - and I actually think that's where the funny car got its name from based on the font.

I only saw it a few times on one of the local UHF TV stations in the mid 70's (I too was born in 66).

Took a round trip cruise today to one of my sport photography clients to get an idea what the consumption will be. The route included highway (at 70mph) and back roads with changes of speeds. Elevation changes with roads going over hills and and down valleys. I used ICC (Intelligent cruise control) for most of the trip.

Very satisfied with the calculated range of 308 miles (3.5 mi./kWh * 88 kWh) at 100% SOC. My wife was impressed as we started with an estimated range of 267 miles at 100% SOC and ended up with 201 miles after driving ~100 miles. While she trusts me, she still needs the Mach-E to prove it. So far so good!

Back from vacation and putting more miles on the odometer this past week. Got the first 300+ mile estimated range on a full charge today on my RWD Extended Range Premium.

I suspect this will only increase during the next few weeks of summer weather.
