Stripes on the way!

Wanted to try some stripes on the whity mach-e

Matte black with Glossy red accents

1" (5cm) space
6" (30cm) black stripes
0.375"(9mm) red accent

First we must measure twice!

Then we cut

Again

And we are done

I yet have to decide wether I keep the hood red accent or not, the only black looked good too when I was at midstep
I will keep the red side accents anyway

As a side note, the matte vinyl is easy to mark, and very hard to work with without shifting it color a bit, I may should have go with a satin black.

The matte black looks great! For the glossy red I didn't like it as much at first with the closer shot, but on the zoomed out full-vehicle shot I changed my mind. I could go either way on those though.

Asked cause I had a doubt, I corrected my initial post the stripes are 6" (30cm) wide

They are vinyl. I had them done professionally and got all of the glass tinted plus ceramic coating at the same time.

They used car wrap material.

I chose 3M gloss deep blue metallic for the stripes.

Had to purchase a new heatgun so I do not account it cause my old died ... (20EUR)

Purchased:
- 75cm x 200cm roll of black wrap
- 10 meters of wire cut
- 10 meters of 9mm red vinyl roll
>> 70€ shipped

I still have enough spare to do the hatchback but not sure If I will do it or just keep only the hood

And took me 2-3 hours to apply didn´t really count, took my time to measure it right and cut properly with the wire cut

Looks awesome. It has a real Mach 1 vibe to it.

I went with 7.25" stripes with a 1" gap. I wanted my stripes between the humps on the hood. But to each their own. They all look good. I know mine doesn't look finished in the pics, but I am in CA so I got a vinyl front license plate, so I didn't want the stripes on that part. But I still love how mine turned out.

About $900 for the stripes.

With all the other work another 3K for me. I didn’t really shop for the cheapest. I went with a top of the line high end detailing company.
