Your VIN should be assigned when your production week is assigned. Since youo know when it is going to be built, you should be able to extract your VIN using the instructions on seg.fyi or get the VIN from your dealer.
I ordered directly thru dealer and not on line. I called dealer back and person that should have info will be in tomorrow so will call them again
The dealer should also have your 4digit order number. Get that from them as well. A few days before your production week you should be able to pull up your window sticker with those two pieces of information.
Cool. The order number I had was an 8 digit number. I had to wait on my window sticker to get the 4-digit number.

It depends where it's headed. What I've read on these forums is that there isn't any tracking for east bound trains. For west bound trains (like Union Pacific) there is an automated system that can give you updates on specific rail cars, but you have to know the rail car #. The easiest way to get that is from the VVR (Vehicle Visibility Report) available from your dealer (most of them anyway - some don't seem to know what they are or how to get them).
