OMG just realized my number means there are over 100000 orders ahead of me. I'll be luck to see my pretty Pony in 2021
That's probably not the case. While the reservation numbers do appears to have some sequentialness to them, it appears they also have wide gaps. Especially above the 35,000 area.

I was surprised to see your 106xxx number. Did you place a prior reservation, or did you start directly from the order screen in July with no prior reservation? That number looks like it's probably in an entirely new block.

No, the first reservation numbers were 1004001, 1005001, and 1006001 as they were issuing at least 3 1000 number sequences simultaneously. You can ignore the first two digits.

You left out a zero. The lowest# batch started at 10004000. My number, for instance, is 10029092.

His number is 10106xxx. First one I've heard over over 6 digits (ignoring the leading "10"). But seems likely that's yet another block of numbers altogether.

Yep, you're right. 10004001, 10005001, and 10006001. Mine is 10005541.

Still going to be very curious to see how many reservations were really placed. And how many orders. Not sure we'll ever actually get the numbers from Ford, but I have a feeling it's less than what many are assuming.

And when you strip out the European reservations that appear to be delayed to a 2nd phase, my 29xxx number might even end up in the first 7-10k customer deliveries in the US (phase 1). Still highly unlikely I'll get mine before Jan 1 (I'm guessing ~Feb), but I'd love it before the end of the year as I'd save an extra $1500 on state tax credit.

You might have missed this from a few days ago; I did a double-take when I read the reservation number.

Sort of an impulse buy... We just ordered an AWD Premium to replace our Fusion Energi. Looking at the pricing, it's not much more sticker price than my loaded up Fusion Energi. Res#: 10325629

Definitely a big jump in numbers -- or a typo.

My thought was those that did not do a reservation and just placed an order started a new number sequence, i.e. 101xxxx or 103xxxx, possibly depending on model/RWD vs AWD configuration.
This would still enable Ford to give priority delivery to those that reserved but not yet ordered.

Could be. That's a reasonable thought, but why jump that far and into such an odd number?

That's what I was getting at too. If that number was correct, I figured it might be a whole different series that was not a reservation, but was an order placed in July after they stopped taking reservations. Just my guess anyway.

I just started directly from the order screen. So approximately how many do you think have been ordered?

There really isn't any hard data on that from Ford. All we have is a lot of speculation. I'd guess there were maybe around 30k-40k reserved (North America + Europe). Some reservations won't follow thru though.

If you ordered after the reservations closed, then in theory your order should be fulfilled after all the reservations are filled. That could put you maybe around the 40,000th area. Which might be next Summer?

But really it's anyone's guess. That could easily be off by 15k in either direction.
