Recently got my Mach-E in late May. Was using the mobile charger on 120v until my 240v was installed about 2 weeks ago.
Temps here in Phoenix hit the 110s a few times over the last couple weeks. I charge my MME beginning around midnight to early morning. I’ve seen the Amber Light come on periodically since utilizing the 240v. I’ve check all the wiring and wall plug, they are not getting hot hot at all. Just the mobile charger is getting quite warm and I’m assuming the heat in the garage is the cause for the Amber light. Amber light comes on for a while, then off and back on. Ambient temp in my garage even overnight is in the high 90s.
The car is still charging fine and I’m not getting any charge faults in the Ford Pass App. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this here in Phoenix and if it’s just something I will need to live with for the Summer, or purchase a better charger.
FYI… I have done all the troubleshooting in the owners manual for the mobile charger.
