I'm not gonna make fun of Tesla because at least their infotainment, software, and PaaK works a lot more than Fords.

I haven't heard of a singe Ford of any description driving a car into a truck (or pole) in broad daylight of it's own volition. When Tesla's go a solid year without swapping paint with something, they'll get my respect. Subjecting owners to their beta testing is comical if not criminal.

You'd have to be crazy to use some of these features I think. Probably just because Tesla only has them right now but in the future I'm sure you'll see articles about Ford BlueSummon and GM SuperSummon, whatever the same thing happening.

Computer software and sensors are fallible

The problem is, people think Musk walks an water and trust him. I hope the fall off the cliff isn't coming, but I fear that it is.

When using the feature requires acknowledging it's beta software that might crash into a pole is it so unreasonable to assume the user should release tesla from liability? Heck, I bet they revoke his feature for this for being unsafe. lol.

The media gets a lot mileage from the general public on these type of stories and Tesla takes a lot of chances putting beta releases out. It’s a match made in heaven. Wait till the first fatality happens with Blue Cruise. Ford won’t be immune whether it’s Ford’s fault or not.

He thinks his car weights 2K pounds.

That’s my biggest problem with these new autonomous features, the inability of some people to understand (whether or not the company is doing enough to educate people) that these new features are still very far from perfect and that they need to exercise lots of caution in using them.

Glad no one was standing next to the car when they tried this.

Just curious.

Are Tesla owners so lazy that they can be within sight of their vehicle, but would rather stare at their phone while holding down buttons, instead of just walking up to the damn thing?

Now I am not a Luddite, if Ford puts out software that can drive a MME from its spot 3 levels up, and bring it to me, I want it. After all, it is possible. ;)

But within freaking sight???

There, I fixed it for you ?

I can't believe that the government hasn't put a stop to this using customers as guinea pigs stupidity.
