There's something quite sketchy about "homebrew" third-party adapters, IMO. I'm not going to buy a TeslaTap for my Mach-E for that reason.
I don’t think adapting the plug in that direction would be a problem. But since Tesla only provides Plug And Charge at their Superchargers, they’d have to be onboard with it.Step two is selling the reverse adapter so we can charge at Tesla DCFC.
How would that help their mission statement of accelerating ev adoption . Tesla shares; just like apple. There goes the neighborhood. Lol
This is step one. Step two is selling the reverse adapter so we can charge at Tesla DCFC.
I think they'd make a pretty penny off of those of us that want to take our Mach-Es (and other CCS vehicles) places where Superchargers are the only option. I'd be fine paying a premium if it allowed me to get to Yellowstone straight across SD and WY and not dropping down through Colorado.I think it's moving in that direction. There was a story last week where the superchargers were being made available to non-tesla cars in Europe.
I'd love if this happened, even if they charged a premium for non-tesla EVs.
the cost of it wow. very high. Have to be doing a lot of fast charging to buy that.
Yeah, it’s not cheap at $660. Imagine what the Tesla branded version will cost.the cost of it wow. very high. Have to be doing a lot of fast charging to buy that.
