Tesla has "lost the mission"? Ford and GM were told back in the '60's that they were changing the planet by pumping emissions into the atmosphere. Their reaction was to spend millions to discredit that info in the press etc. (let's not even talk about lead). So, when Ford actually "gets the mission", send up a flare. As far as idiots crashing their cars -- I've had my M3P Tesla for a couple of years and never used my AI once. I prefer to have my hands on the wheel. Both GM and Ford are working on their own autonomous AI. Shall we wait and see how their idiots fare? BTW, way back when regular cruise control came out some drives thought that was "autopilot" and crashed accordingly.
So you're saying the implied meaning of "cruise control" and "full self driving" are the same? And you're going to put the concerted effort by big oil to bury their own scientist's work from the 60's on the car makers?

c'mon, man

A few of those sectors will much harder to solve than switching Americans to EVs. This shows the enormity of the problem, and, that moving a reluctant nation to EVs isn't much of a solution and may worsen 'Electricity and Heat' to some degree.
I absolutely agree there - electric cars are only part of the solution. Here in NJ the contribution to GHG from transportation is actually higher, and PSE&G in NJ actually generates a lot of electricity from nuclear and renewables - but nationwide your point is spot on.

see, this is why duplicate threads are bad. Because I predicted the "BUT FORD!" defense in the original thread and showed how it was completely irrelevant.

as far as climate change caused by products of other companies having anything whatsoever to do with Tesla shipping a dangerous product and promoting it in a dangerous way... "but those people over there are doing a different bad thing!" doesn't excuse anything.

Do keep trying though, Stan.

Big Government EV day they did not invite Tesla, now investigations gearing up. Me thinks the grifters in DC got the knives out for TSLA.

FSD is a bad idea and may just be a convenient path to get at TSLA.
Bingo. You hit the nail on the head. The Democrats are furious with tesla and will do anything to destroy the company at this point. It’s 100% about politics. Look at all the things that Elon musk has done the push the buttons of the left:

Elon fought tooth and nail to keep his factory running when COVID restrictions hit in california

Elon has fought hard against unionizing his factories

He has bashed California’s high taxes and relocated to Texas.

Then there were a bunch of tweets he sent out comparing leftists to fascists.

Am I wrong? Tesla wasn’t invited to the EV summit and Psaki, when asked about it, said he it was because tesla didn’t support the UAW.

Are you talking about this rocket scientist who set his RV on cruise control, then got up to make coffee. Now, I count coffee as my last vice in life, but it really takes a room-temperature IQ to be this stupid behind the wheel!

According to the EPA, the largest emitters of greenhouse gas in the US are (2015):

A few of those sectors will much harder to solve than switching Americans to EVs. This shows the enormity of the problem, and, that moving a reluctant nation to EVs isn't much of a solution and may worsen 'Electricity and Heat' to some degree.

This is getting funnier with each post lol‼
I have to admit though, that I am worried about the future while on the road. My husband responded with, “it couldn’t be any worse than women putting on their make up while on the freeway, or drunks, in years past “ But I still fear the morons out there. People have watched too many “Fast and furious “ movies….

BTW all these winnebago stories, names seem to change all the time, are well known 'fake' news stories. Understandably it is the internets and full of fake stuff but still....
