Interesting situation today with Tesla Supercharging. I turned OFF my “Share Driving Data” under Connectivity on the car. I left everything else ON/Share in privacy.
When I went to charge at Tesla, I was throttled to 34 kWh max (seen via Tesla app, I was at 44% SOC to start) and received the below message in the FordPass app.
Strange that I would have to share my driving data just to see my charging status and if that lack of share also caused Tesla to throttle overall charge. Once I change the setting ON to share, cycled the car and cycled the Tesla connection, charging back to full speed.
hmmmmm guess Tesla is getting our driving data too as part of the deal?
