Your point about Tesla's charging curves not being way ahead is a good one. But where did you get that first graph? It looks wrong for both the Model 3 and the i-Pace, from what I've found...

And FWIW, from piecing together the data and comments on the Mach-e from Ford, I'm expecting the charging curve to look very similar to that red Model 3 line above (except with a 150 kW max). With the taping down from 150 kW max starting somewhere in the 30% SOC area.

Unfortunately that SeekingAlpha website the first chart is from has a paywall so I can't get in to see how they came up with those 2 lines. But the point is that they're both inconsistent with the other (more consistent) charging curves for both vehicles.

Plus the M3 charges up to 250 kW, while that first chart only peaks at about 115. So clearly something is wrong there.

The more believable ones tend to be the ones that have multiple sources showing consistent results.

I wonder how much temperature impacts those lines.

After Jaguar updated the I-PACE charging capability, it now goes from 10% to 80% in ~40 mins maxing out at 100kW.

Even on a V2 Supercharger, the Tesla Model 3 takes about 33 minutes to go from 10% to 80%. It's 31 minutes on a V3 Supercharger.

I think it's worth noting that Tesla owners frequently report that they don't max out on V2 chargers. Even when the station is empty, they can come up frustratingly short on power. Just check out Tesla forums or Plugshare. V3 has mostly solved this but not completely (check out YouTube, My Tesla Adventure and his many attempts to get 200kW on his Performance Raven S).
