I finally got to test drive a Mach-e yesterday. My dealer let me keep it for 2 hours. I did a mix of city and highway driving. I tried all the various modes. I liked the feel of Unbridled the most. The car felt the most responsive in that mode as expected. The ride overall was pretty good. It is certainly different than my Mazda CX-5. I was pleased with how the pano roof handled the Texas sun. Although it's not really hot yet, it was a bright sunny day here in Fort Worth. There was no noticeable heat transfer from the roof to the interior of the car. The roof tint is really dark. That was one of my main concerns and I feel much better about it now. The fit and finish was great overall. There was only one thing that seemed odd regarding fit. The infrared eye monitor panel was installed a bit crooked on the steering column. (See photo) It was especially noticeable with the straight line of the dash behind it. Has anyone else noticed this on their car? I looked at another Mach-e the dealer had and it seemed much straighter. After losing the Infinite Blue color, I was torn about keeping the order or getting a refund. I have decided to move forward with Dark Matter Gray. The dealer said I MIGHT have it before Christmas. Ugh.

It's not a complaint I've seen before, but I don't follow the complaint threads too much. Regardless, the dealer could certainly fix it if you brought it to their attention.

It's notable that so my people with CX-5s are looking at this car. Not much of a surprise, it's almost a direct replacement, except for price.

I like my '16 CX-5 AWD quite a lot. It's no wonder I found this so easy to climb into ....just drive it.

I think we know what Mazda has on the drawing board.

Yes, I've really enjoyed my Mazda. I'll be keeping it and adding the Mach-e.

Our dealer let us keep their demo for 3 days! We put almost 400 miles on it!
Wow, that's awesome. My dealer limits everyone to 2 hours max. At least, that's what they told me.

I think they are bending over backwards trying to keep my Wife happy until her order comes in! She has already sold her C-max and we have installed a 240 outlet in our garage.

Mine (Asheville Ford, NC) worked the test like a rental car. All the paperwork, bring it back when done. We weren't ready for this, we expected a salesman in the back seat looking at his watch. We allowed for a 1 hour tour, that's all it took.

They are going to let us take it out again for our anniversary. Thinking about doing a beach trip this time!
Sounds like they're trying to rack up the miles so they can sell it.

I see dealers going one of two ways on these demo cars:

1. get the 4000 miles on it quick so we can sell it.

2. don’t let anyone drive it so after 4 months when we can sell it, there are almost no miles on it.

I believe #1 is more in the sprint of what the demo car is supposed to do.
