OK, something's going on with the tracker database and I think it auto updates if it gets nervous that you're going to go past your date or something. What's interesting is that my order page still shows the original date (as I believe others have pointed out), but the tracker date for almost all the cars on my train got pushed back today...

Now they are:

• April 4 (Going to NY)
• April 8 (Going to GA)
• May 1 (Going to VA)
• May 2 (Going to IL)
• May 6 (Going to MD)
• May 10 (Going to MA, VT)
• May 11 (Mine going to PA)
• May 23 (Going to SC)

I hope that one going to SC isn't mine! I went from and ETA of 3/28 to 4/23. Don't think I could stand another month to 5/23!

Can anyone help me get the railcar number? What do you need? Just the Vin?

My dealer says he has no clue how to get the Rail car number. Does someone know how to do that?

It's on the Vehicle Visibility Report. The inventory manager at the dealership should know what that is. That being said, I was never successful at getting it out of my dealer.

"Your mileage may vary." Like @generaltso said, I was never able to get my dealer to provide the VVR either. Although, I will admit, I did not push too hard on the issue.

Not a peep out of Ford
We sold the Volt a week and a half ago in anticipation of 3/24 ETA. Now down to one vehicle. The boss (she has zero patience) is not happy. Wait 'til I tell her the new ETA. Where can I find sanctuary?

Nice!! That was the most exciting part for me - waking up in the morning on the 22nd to a FordPass notification asking me to activate car.

Actually email is the first thing I check after making coffee. I must admit I was dumb founded I didn't know what to think, is this real. I said to my wife, check your email is there a email from ford corporate. Yes she said it says complete purchase. She then promptly pointed out that I had odd expression on my face and did not seem excited. I told her I'm in shock.

So what triggers the alerts? The trucking company saying delivered or the dealership taking delivery? Why do the emails show up first thing in the morning? Deliveries can happen in the afternoon to but I only hear of people seeing the email first thing in the morning.

It had to take the train to Kent WA, about 25 mi north of the dealer. Don't know how long it was there. Cars going east or to California you can track all the way or at least you could un55:45til palsapp went south on us. If like me you live in the PNW once you get to KC it's a blk hole. My car was delivered to dealer @ 5:45 am. I was reading the email @ 6:45 am. So I think when the dealer signs for it or when transport driver scans the bar code it triggers the email.

Yeah, it's the dealership taking the car out of transport mode, and then registering it as received with Ford.

My FordPass wanted me to activate vehicle six weeks ago when it was built.
I have resisted activating until I am in the presence of the vehicle, hoping to avoid some of the FordPass/Sync4 disasters.
You guys must be talking about another FordPass notification?
