The process of getting stripes was interesting. Instead of using separate pieces of vinyl, the shop I used just prints out the colors. So why not add a custom pattern?

From a distance it looks like a black stripe with red borders. But I wanted to add a texture that you can only see close up.

I like the pattern in the stripe, that's pretty cool!

I'm a fan of stripes...
Me too!

By the way, I am a big fan of the Adam's Polishes Advanced Graphene Ceramic coating, and it should significantly prolong the life of vinyl stripes!

In my case, that picture was taken when I still had temporary plates (on the back only). But I like the look without a front plate. Front plates are required in Colorado, where I am, so I have mine on suction cup mounts in the front windshield. That's not exactly legal in Colorado, because they specify that the plates have to be mounted vertical. But after seeing that maybe only 1/3 of the ubiquitous Teslas that are everywhere here have any front plate at all, I figure the windshield mount is at least enough to keep them from pulling me over for not having a front plate... And then I can use the excuse that the dealer didn't mount a front plate holder on my car...

I'm supposed to have one here in California.

It's a fix it ticket.

I figure if I get stopped then I will deal with it.

I also tinted all the glass at the same time that I got my stripes. Not legal either.

I would say 60-70% of Tesla's don't have the front plates on them out here.

The last thing I want to do is cover up the look of the front of my car with a plate.

If push comes to shove I like the Stow and go bracket solution.

Looks great! I like that they print their own. That’s giving me bad ideas. I think I had better stop. 😈🐩

Not something I'd do, but it looks good! The pattern is a nice touch. I like your choice of keeping the front area with the Mustang logo stripe-free. If I did do stripes, I'd do it like you did. Well done!

The pattern is a great idea. I have long thought about hood stripes and I could match the pattern in the black on the grill of the GT, sort of like you did. That would be very cool.

BTW - VA requires a front plate but I have been driving around for a few months now without it. I have the Sto-n-sho front bracket that mounts under the bumper. I scraped a curb with it and knocked it sideways. I took it off to fix it but not gotten a chance. It's sitting in my frunk. Maybe it will stay that way!
