By long-haul, I mean like cross-country.

That doesn't mean plenty of other routes couldn't use chargers too, of course. But as a matter of priorities for deploying their limited resources, they've chosen mostly longer and busier routes to start with.

There is a LOT that still needs to be established to make this a "go anywhere" network. There are entire states without one EADCFC. WV, ND, SD, WY, MT. VT.

Yeah... driving through WV is going to be tough. If you're not taking 81 or 95 to go north and south there's not many options. I usually make the drive from NC to Lake Erie once or twice a year. Right now ABRP is saying I'll need to drive 263mi at 50 mph on the interstate to make that trip which would be downright dangerous. Doesn't appear to be manyL2 destination chargers in that area either. It's a bummer because I want to show my parents/family the car, but It might be next to impossible to go visit them with it for now.

Much like California in those aspects. It should have proportional number of DCFC for such routes.

For sure. In fact it was just a few months ago that EA touted that they completed their first coast-to-coast route (I-70/I-15). It's a nice milestone but in football terms, they've only finished the 1st quarter. This is a decade-long effort. We're still gonna be early adopters, with the early adopter growing pains.

Every airline worth working for is located off of I-40, I-90, I-70 or I-80.

I’ve driven each of those coast to coast at least once and one of them 4 round trips. Never again! Even if they do get chargers.
