Tire sizes are confusing. I always have to check a calculator to be sure.

Staggered sets look good, but remember that they prevent you from being able to rotate tires, and these heavy/powerful EVs can really eat up tires. I don’t think there are actually a lot of practical advantages on an AWD vehicle, even on the stock 225s my Premium can accelerate at full power without chirping the tires.

Ultimately a staggered set would be just because you like the look and feel, and you don’t mind throwing extra tires at it over time. Nothing wrong with that at all, of course, I just don’t think it has a lot of actual practical advantage.

Excellent points. I did think about the rotating issue. That’s the one drawback I can think of. Dilema for me is that I want the 275 rear (or maybe a 265) because the wide tire just looks good. I wouldn’t mind it on the front but I don’t know if it would rub. I saw a post where a guy did 275/40 front and rear but had to use 2mm spacers up front. Looked great but I don’t want to have to do spacers. I have no idea how to figure out what will fit up front.

I was thinking you were staggered for some reason. That’s good to know. I’ll have to calculate the entire wheel and tire combo you have and that will help me know better what can work up front! Thanks! Now, you make a good point that you can’t rotate your wheels, but you could actually rotate your tires (not sure anyone really does that). I love your offset and deep dish rear wheels. I’m barely wrapping my head around what offset means but it would appear you have a significant negative offset for the deep dish look and it pushes the whole wheel out a little for an aggressive, broad stance. Maybe I’m still understanding it wrong. Do you know what your offset is?

Your 265/35 r22 total 29.3” tall. If you’re not having any rubbing issues and no mods were done to make it fit then it looks like I could do 265/45 r20. This comes out to be 29.4”. I’d keep the width you have and we know works, and my height would be almost exactly the same on r20 wheels. Hopefully I’m understanding the math.

When I Google the height, the 35 are 27.3” and 45 29.4”.

That’s a 2.1” difference, not a 0.1” as you have above.

That said, it will vary some from tire to tire depending on brand.

I just calculated it again. I’m comparing OPs 265/35 on 22” wheels to 265/45 on 20” wheels. I think you calculated both on 20’s. 29.3 and 29.4 respectively.

Thanks for the link. So 2.2% is still ok? I could go to 265/40 but like a little more meat on there. Lots of options. Really just need the car to arrive. It’s scheduled for delivery today!!

Thanks brother, I don’t know about the insurance adjustment but I do know that my wheels are within tolerance when it comes to standard sized rims and tires , so nothing had to change on the speedometer l
