I was able to visit the tour stop in Providence, RI, at Tasca Ford.

They had two cars. Unfortunately, they were only there for stationary purposes. No ride along trips ?. They said they weren't allowed to and this would be true for future stops they'll be at for the tour (RI/NH/MA). They were surprised when I said other tour stops had ridealongs for order holders.

Their two cars were racing red and infinite blue. Both looked really awesome!

A couple comments based on previous questions:
  • The power seats only go up and down. There's no separate tilt adjustment.
  • The front port is only for connecting jumper cables to pop the hood when the 12-volt battery is dead. There is no receptacle for a tow hook. Maybe that will be different on production cars.
  • The front and rear door opener buttons do sort of look like cameras. I doubt they are. But who knows. We need Munroe to tear a whole car down!
Overall, I just really loved the car. The design and styling are top notch!!

I love the door opening mechanism. It really feels natural. The inside door handles are great too.

I found out that the ride-alongs are only offered through Ford reps. That’s where the third car at some of these events is coming from.

The two cars at most of these are being leased/borrowed by the marketing agency who is absolutely NOT allowed to drive customers.

That makes a lot more sense now!

Any idea how to tell where the Ford reps are going to be?

I’ll bring my friend Benjamin and a few of his friends. They can be very persuasive... ?

I'm surprised by the seat adjustments, which model were these because Premium should have 8-way power seats. Curious what 8-way is if they don't tilt?

Well there’s our official consumption numbers boys. Do we have any way of knowing where the stops of these cars were previously that sums up those 500 odd miles? Can’t say it’s what I’d hoped... 263mi...

The numbers are garbage. These are demo units that have mostly been sitting around running with the AC on for days.
Yeah but that would count as accessory and climate. It’s still 19hrs of drive and 563mi. Even if you say it’s only 50% drive climate and 0% accessory, it’s still not flattering assuming we get the previous destinations of this vehicle from the tour and average the speeds veteeen those stops

Oh, and the rear cargo cover is lightweight and folds up when you twist it (like some windshield shades).

Easy to put under the floor in the trunk.

That's a great idea. My Focus ST has a cargo cover for the hatch but it's solid. So when I need to take out, I have to find a place to store it. Making it collapsible will be a big improvement.
