Like lots of other European customers mine was built in early December 2020. It sat in the car park in Mexico for 3 months until they finally decided on 1st March 2021 to load it on to a boat.

It was offloaded in Belgium on 1st April, and there it's sat for almost 6 weeks. No idea when it's being shipped to UK, and only a rough date of June for potential delivery. I have zero faith in the June delivery date because every time I call for an update it's always todays date +6 another weeks.

The schools here in the U. S. are pretty bad so you’ll have excuse me for thinking the ship had to go right past the U. K. to get to Belgium. ? I guess Ford’s globe is a little different than mine.

You get an A+ for Geography :). Yep - it sailed straight past us and went to mainland Europe!

Annoyingly it's only about 160 miles away from me right now - the problem is it's in a different country and there's quite a lot of sea between us ?

Sooo, to quote myself.....

Pre order 23 november 2019 (correct 2019)
Build date 8 december 2020 (Lets collect dust!)
Transit date 10 februari
Arrival Antwerp 30 march (Lets collect some more dust!)
Expected delivery dealer 8 may
For me to drive in it 15 may

So I am grumpy, very grumpy and start to lose faith, if I could choose again I would choose not to....

Several days?!? WTF are they doing to it? Maybe some extra time for charging, but new car prep should be a matter of hours not days.
Right?! That was my thought too...I was told (and is probably legit, based on everything we've seen and heard about the launch) is that there are a lot of software updates that need to be done. I suspect there may be other minor issues that need to be fixed before they hand her over to me as well.
I've had a pretty good experience with this dealership to this point, and with the time they're taking, I'm expecting it to be pristine. ;)

Glad to hear they are confirming you have the latest updates prior to delivery. An extra couple of days is NBD in the grand scheme of things, but man we've all waited so long for our cars... ;)

I just ordered a GT, and I am under no illusion that I will get it any time soon, but I wanted to pre-join this thread and start the grumpy phase right away.
Yeah, I'm grumpy and things so far have been really quick for me, comparatively. I still won't see my Mach-E until early August assuming everything goes to schedule, but as I read this forum I end-up with two distinct emotions:

  1. I cannot WAIT to get this car.
  2. I absolutely don't ever want this car because every single one shipped is failing miserably in a million different ways.*

*I know they're not, but just like Yelp, people tend to take to a forum to vent about bad things instead of praising good things, and I'm sure most of the Mach-E deliveries have been fine, but it suuuuure doesn't feel like it reading this forum.

My MME Premium AWD Extended just made appearance in Palsapp as being delivered yesterday (5/17/2021) to Birmingham, MO.

Any insight on how long from there to a dealer in southern NJ?

Ordered a GTP. Gonna be months if not a year due to the chip shortage.

Probably not going to even get a VIN for half a year...

Is the Great British Break Off affecting deliveries from Europe into the UK?

Nah - it’s Ford’s poor logistics and the battery and software issues that have caused the delays. Thousands of cars for all of Europe stuck in Antwerp going through Quality Assurance check

The cars sat in Mexico for 3 months before being put on a ship (so that they could allegedly be Quality Checked) then spent a month on boats doing a magical mystery tour of the East Coast of the US, and then have spent nearly 2 months sat in Antwerp. (Having more quality checks)

We are finally seeing cars being moved over to UK this week. I’m sure Ford are planning a fanfare of publicity to say how great the launch is, but we are all asking what took so long?! 7 months from build to delivery ?

To be fair in the last 72hrs they seem to have finally got their act together and we are seeing large volumes of vehicles being distributed from Antwerp to their final destination country. My RWD ER might be delivered to the dealer as soon as next week. I'll have to return my Grumpy Club Membership card if that happens.
