I, too, must now leave this thread. Mine has arrived at long, LONG last... 8 weeks after the original build date. Good luck! They're coming, don't worry!
I hope to see you soon on the other side. I'm starting week 14 since my car was built.

Ugh! And I thought 8 was bad. You're overdue.
My production date was Dec 15th. After several calls with the CS lady at the dealership, I was told on Friday that Ford tracked it to Mexico, never shipped and “in storage “
Shipping date unknown, ETA indefinite.
Yesterday the tracker on the forum changed from March 30th to May 17th. This would be 21 weeks after production.
I lost it and phoned again. Then Ford “ found” my car in KC where palsapp showed it has been for 6 weeks, and prioritized the shipping.
Unfortunately the tracker does not reflect the change yet.

These issues seem so odd. Vehicle transportation logistics isn't exactly a new thing for Ford.

Why is delivery and logistics so bad for Ford!. There should be lots of folks that can work from home and "Manage" the in process inventory to see that it gets moved to CUSTOMERS!

That is inexcusable. Complain, complain, complain, and ask for some sort of recompense.

What number did you call? I need answers on my own car...

So my journey has just begun. I placed my order on Monday, 3/22. The dealer told me 16 weeks or less to take delivery. Hoping that is close to true. I could have bought a stock unit, but I decided if I'm gonna take the plunge I am getting the color I want.
Wish me luck.

My dealer thought 10-12 weeks when I ordered on March 4. But I suspected he had no real idea, and based on everything else I've been reading, I was correct - the dealers have no idea. If I had to make a wild guess, I'd put the over/under right now in September.

I am mostly ok waiting. My Accord is just fine. The one who is going to be freaking out is my teenage son, who will have the Accord to drive when I get my Mach-E. Would be terrific to have it before school starts in the fall. Am also monitoring the local area dealer inventory for a match.

My hope is that these initial hiccups in the production and shipping processes get sorted out and a more normal timeline kicks in.
I am also mostly ok waiting. This is a 'want' purchase, not a 'need'. My Malibu is doing just fine.

Alas, my time with you draws to an end. My car arrived at the dealer this morning, 19 days after being built. I am scheduled to pick it up tomorrow and I cannot wait. I wish you all luck getting yours!

OK, I have resisted being grumpy about this process but I am starting to lose it.

the reservation system is a joke. We all are seeing how many newer orders are getting deliveries months a head of people that reserved 6-10 months ahead of them. Then cars that were built months ago sit and sit at different locations with dealers and customer service reps having no idea where they are, why they are delayed, and no reasonable guess as to when they might be delivered. Delivery dates come and go and when they come, suddenly a new estimate a month or more away shows up.

this is just sad to say that had I bought a tesla, yes I may have had some flaws but at least I would know when I would get my car. As a Ford stockholder this gives me doubts that Ford is truly getting out of their old school customer service cave.

stockmarket says Tesla is worth 10x what Ford is. Beginning to wonder if it is true. You can’t treat customers this way.

I have started wondering if hitting up Mike Levine on Twitter would see any results or satisfaction. He seems to be pretty active and has responded to some other issues, and this really does seem to be egregious. I just cannot fathom that tracking something worth in excess of $40k is not extremely important, and not all that hard to accomplish. We live in an age where so much is being tracked, right down to the minute.

I have been very slow to be critical of Ford, because I have a position where I have to manage communication and expectations of clients/customers, and sometimes it is very difficult to tell what will cause more trouble, and what will solve. And, then you also have so many factors that fall outside your control. Tracking these cars is 100% within Ford's realm of control.

I have a Twitter account, but hardly ever use it. My small business uses the heck out of their account on Twitter, as a marketing tool. I've wondered if reaching out to Mike Levine on Twitter would be more effective to send from a hardly ever used but personal account, or a much more active, with many followers, business account.

Just commented on Mike Levine and Jim Farley's twitter. Nothing nasty just how unpleasant the reservation system is since it isn't really followed.
