This is very sad but I don’t blame you one bit for buying a Polestar. I hope I don’t get to that point when it gets closer to my build week. Waiting since October and seeing people who ordered after me getting their cars before me makes me want to “ jump ship” and leave Ford too. Personally I couldn’t afford a Polestar and would be looking at a Tesla. Ford is it’s worst enemy so far with lack of communication with its customers and transparency in what is going on. Just my empathy for you and what you went through and I hope you find happiness with your new car.
Thank you so much for this thoughtful reply.
I really hope that you receive your Mach e soon and all is well with it.
I know it’s likely silly of me to have waited so long to back out at the end, but I just had enough.
Sure some person would feel very happy about my FE when it is suddenly available at the dealership.
I reached out to polestar out of frustration, and was blown away by the interaction.
it was just how I wished it would be buying a car.
I know that their biggest issue is lack of physical spaces but luckily for me, I’m close enough.
Door-to-door service for delivery, service appt etc really feels premium customer care.
The range on the P2 vs mme is less by about 40 miles, which is possible deal breaker for some, but range was never an issue for me. P2 would easily go a week on full charge for my commute.
Charge network for every non-Tesla is not yet up to compare, but again for me who would charge at home very much exclusively, hopefully not a headache.
Excited to be a Bev owner soon and hope you have a great time with your car.

Anyone else heard anything about their MachEs lately?? I must be really desperate for good news, since I'm wondering if anyone else is joyfully leaving our sad club....

I just got off the phone with the GM at my dealership, who says it’s still on track to be delivered by their promised date of the 15th, nearly three weeks after the already delayed delivery date.

This is my first Ford experience, and frankly, I am not impressed.

Welp...I WAS in the home stretch (delivery estimated at April 27th)...delivery now pushed out a full month to May 31st! Recently discovered PALSAPP, and not sure how to interpret it. I started being able to track my VIN about 2 weeks ago, and the status has been at "pending" for awhile. As of the last couple of days, I now have a destination and name (Kansas City, KS, and Argentine Ramp) and a freight bill #. Does this mean that my car in KS or still in MX?

Couldn’t stand the wait, and not knowing how the chip shortage is affecting production. I found one, in the specs I wanted, 300 miles from me, so I made a deal on it today.
Glad you found one. I found my exact car in Goshen IN last Saturday and the Internet Sales lady said she could sell me the car at X-Plan pricing and got me all excited so I was ready to make the 2 hour drive to pick it up. Later that day I got a call from the GM saying the car was their demonstrator which they couldn't sell until 4,000 miles or several months. DAMN, this is the third or fourth car that met my requirements but didn't work out because of ADM price or being sold or being a demo.

Yep! I ran into the same thing. Most listed are demonstrators or special orders that aren’t available to sell. It took a lot of work and phone calls to find one.

Probably in transit to KC unless it shows as delivered. Mine is like yours, it was due next week and then slipped a month. Mine showed up in KC on 4/8 but no updates since.

frankly I don't think anyone knows.
I had the same palsapp documentation and then Ford said it is still in MX.
Then the dealership "discovered" the car in KC after it was there 4 weeks and told me it was shipped here "hot" priority the same day.
That was 4 weeks ago today, Ford CS told me last week its still in Mx.
So, it seems clear that the location of the car is unclear.
FYI the production date was Dec 15th.
I lost it Friday and ordered a Polestar 2, which they informed me (yes spontaneous communication) was leaving Halifax yesterday.
I could no longer deal with the uncertainty and the fear that after all that time waiting, there was no way to be certain the car was all fine.
And if there was to be any build issues as mentioned here, I'd have to then rely on Ford to correct it, but with them showing no interest in me since I ordered this June 2020, I'm just plain scared.
My ETA had changed 4 times now, the latest was 12 weeks after the first one.

Yeah, you definitely got shafted on your order! I don't blame you at all. There is a black hole of info that doesn't translate to what happens in reality, which is super frustrating. I pre-ordered a car from Ford back in 2012-2013 and the communication sucked then too. I had to rely on the dealership, as I didn't dive down the rabbit hole of daily forum tracking at that time. o_O You have shown exceptional patience thus far, but I blame my own impatience to an addiction to 2 day Prime delivery!

Yeah I have been going through the same thing the past few days. I think I must have message or called every dealer that had my exact car in 500 miles. Most were demos, some were spoken for, the rest weren't actually the extended range like they had listed. I'm starting to think I really will be waiting until the end of summer to get mine if I'm lucky.
