Good tires are the number one safety feature on any car. Get the tires that give you the best grip and stopping ability. Don't get some low resistance/low grip tires to save $15 a year after you just spent $50K+ on a car.

i switched from all-seasons to summer tires about 4-5years ago (we're in LA). yes, tread life is like 1/3 and i'm spending more on tires, but the handling is so much better and addicting, i've decided it's worth it to me.

i'm not too concerned about range since the mach-e std rwd will be the daily commuter (35-40 miles most days, occasionally, up to 70-80 miles in 1 day). we have an ice honda minivan for road trips.

but i am a little curious how much of a hit, range-wise, swapping to summer tires for year round use will be for the mach-e....
