To Frunk or not to Frunk. That is the question.

I use my frunk semi-regularly. Groceries or hot foods go in there. I have also de-frunked the car on several occasions. I’m probably going to perform another frunk-ectomy in a few weeks. 😊🤪🐩

Yep. Blazer SS and other models have cooled seats standard or available. And the HUD, which is also very nice. Lack of Cooled seats was a big miss for Ford imo.
SECOND biggest miss. We can never let ford off the hook for the lack of a remote frunk release 😀

Frunk is emergency equipment only, first aid kit, blanket, etc. Might regret it if I have nose first accident I suppose... Otherwise I am sticking with keeping that stuff out of the trunk/cargo bay.

...IMO the Mach E design team could have shortened/lowered the front hood line to provide a more immediate line of sight to the road. First time I drove a Porsche 911 I noticed that the benefit of not having an engine in front allowed a design that seemed to put the road right at my feet and gave a sense of connection that was exciting and unique. I think EV car designers are still grappling with the design options they have, and the market appears to reward more conventional designs right now, but that may change as people get more comfortable with EVs.
It was a design choice to make the nose more "Mustang-E" instead of "SUV-ish"

Ford made the hood long though to fit with the Mustang design language so they made the best of things by adding a frunk.
Precisely

Yes, it was a marketing decision, form over function. I have practical use for the frunk, but it is clearly an afterthought. That said, the design is a big reason for the Mach E's success. I get compliments all the time.

i found frunk very useful. i can keep there staff that I do not need everyday: 2 AO Coolers, tesla destination charger adapter and bag with different staff for my dogs when I need to drive them.
If I'm correct Fisker mentioned that they decided to skip frunk in order to cut production cost, maybe same with Blazer

What actually is de-frunking? Or should I say, frunkal lobotamy?

Do you just mean hosing it out or something?

I wouldn't necessarily say form over function, but I do agree the nose is the Mach-E's most and best distinguishing characteristic - and a great move by Ford to make it "mustang-e" 😜 .

I use the frunk whenever I have something I don’t want to get stolen. But this might just be a California problem.
yes they can still get in but it’s much more out of site.

Before I got my MME, thieves broke the window of my SUV and took my computer bag. Now I throw my computer bag in frunk. It's a perfect fit and feels very secure.
