Guys,

Going to a Seminar on Hilton Head Island for the weekend (5&1/2 hours drive), leaving this evening. Was originally going to make the trip with my MME. I've owned her 11 months now and never had any mechanical issues; just several of the software glitches that we've all experienced. I did finally get dealer installed Blue Cruise and it's awesome. However, with the overheating of the Junction Box Issue combined with the fact that I will have to DC Fast charge her for only her 2nd time, considering taking my daughter's ICE vehicle. Do we actually have any hard data on the % of MMEs with this issue? Is there any specifics to trim level with these issues? I've seen the less than 1% bandied about on the forum as well as the GTs that Fast Charge a lot. Is there any real Data that we're aware of?

Feel Free to give my your opinion as to which car (I may regret this) to take.

Thanks

Iā€™m taking a 5-hr road trip with wifey this week in the MME. We have an ice vehicle weā€™re leaving at home.

Agree with the others, take the Mach-e. We are taking our GT on a road trip next week into Canada (about 800+ miles round trip).

Note: For those curious, I did contact Ford and the Warranty extends into Canada and if there is a failure on our trip, it would get fixed at a Canadian Ford dealer. How the loaner works out would be a bit more tricky, but what is life without adventure!

I would have taken my MME for the 1,200 mile drive down to Florida, but needed the cargo space of my minivan. If I were you, I would not hesitate to drive the MME.

My mach E is going on an 800 Mile Road trip this weekend. To be fair I do have the new HVBJB already but I would go on it even if I didn't.

My dilemma between taking the mme vs my wifeā€™s ICE is the lack of charging infrastructure along the southern Jersey shore. There are no DC fast chargers and only a couple level 2s at local businesses. Getting there on one charge is no problem but driving around and driving home is more of an issue if charging on the shore is insufficient or time consuming.
