Today Voice Command switch dead

While driving today I found pressing the voice command button did absolutely nothing. I tried turning the car off and back on but it remained dead. How is this remedied? (Side note: are all the electric cars having frequent technology failures or just this one?)

Try restarting SYNC. While the car is on, hold volume down and next track for several seconds.

Before anything else, try a Sync reboot.

1) Turn on the car.

2) Press and hold the volume/power button and right seek button for 10 seconds.

It is not uncommon for first year models to have issues.

Actually since 2.3.0 it comes and goes, never know if it will respond
