Neither article even gets into the truly long distance charging issues with the Bz4X. It throttles fast charging rates after the car has fast charged from low to 80% twice in 24 hours, down to 13 kW or slower on the North American spec AWD Bz4X (I think the FWD throttles to 40 kW). I got a Bz4X last November because we felt we could live with the normal slow charging speeds, but this throttle blindsided us. Now I am debating if I can afford to swap the Bz4X for the Mach-E CR1 I ordered while waiting for the Bz4X to come in (delayed by the wheel bolt recall), and whether or not it will be the right car for me, given some of the issues others in these forums have faced, and concerns about longterm reliability.
