According to the ford.ca website, my car is built and being shipped.
Since it is coming from Mexico, I assume it is coming by train.
So I would like to know how I find out what train it is on, and how do I track it?

You have to get the rail car # from your dealer.

It's not online - it's all by phone using the automated attendant.

I tracked my Lightning by calling the CSX line every other day...
Tracked from MI to CA - took 2 weeks.

Took many phone calls entering rail car numbers and many tries as most of the time no info available on their automated computer generated voice line.

Did get valuable location tips when it was switching lines (CSX -> UP) or at depot stations.

MME takes a lot longer because it stops in KC, MO where it can be held there for a long time.

It will more than likely arrive on CP Rail (mine did), arriving at the Agincourt rail yard. CP has a great automated service for tracking the railcar, but as Pat said you'll need to ask the dealer for the railcar number.

It will indeed transfer through Kansas City, where I believe it will hook up to a Canadian-bound CP Rail train.

Mine took about a month from "door to door", and I'm in Oakville.

Good luck!

It may also be useful to look up some train terminology, because the automated line is full of train lingo :)

I'm not sure how well this will work, but you can possibly try tracking with United Road to see the last mile shipment from the rail yard to your dealer.
See here for instructions: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/united-road-logistics-faq.33829/#:~:text=to your Dealer.-,Back on the Order number Results Page, next to your, change to 'Pending Pickup
(by the way, best to get a login by using your mobile, not desktop)

Ford Chat should also be able to give you your rail car number if your sales person isn't responding - and both should be able to let you know where the train passed by. Calling (depending on the operator) might only tell you if the train has left or departed. (Union Pacific I believe gives better detail if I ask for a fax... but I don't have/want to set that up)

As stated above, it seems to be the only way to track trains is by calling the rail operator (based on the rail car number). I the phone numbers are listed if you go to the 'trackers' in the top bar.

I’ve found the mobile pass super handy, especially on longer trips where you’re juggling travel days and seat reservations. I’ve used everyrail.com to sort out my pass and plan routes because it keeps everything in one place and makes those mandatory reservations less of a headache. Keeping an eye on which trains need booking saves a lot of last‑minute stress on busy routes.
