Hi,

someone went into the back of me last year and it left a crack in the boot body work. The other drivers insurance said they would cover all costs and it was taken to Steer for repairs mid December. They are still waiting for the parts to arrive and from what I’ve been able to find online, it seems like the entire boot needs replaced rather than a panel but I could be wrong.

I’m wondering if anyone else has had to wait for the parts to arrive and can you advise what your wait time was as I’m now at the 7 week mark and I had a call today to say they still can’t source the parts. I’ve had a Mercedes EV from enterprise courtesy of the insurance company since December and even with a discount I imagine they’ve already forked out close to £4000 for this service so worried the insurance company will eventually say it can’t be repaired and write it off.

I can’t believe something so small is taking so long to repair but hoping someone can share their experience. Images attached to show damaged area.
