Update, The dealership is telling me the HVBJB is on back order.. they said the demand is greater than the supply of the updated part. waiting on an ETA
...which is why my car isnt updated. Too many people had the error triggered after the update. Im choose not to drive it hard until the parts are readily available. I dont want to be without the car for several weeks.

Well this sounds like as good an explanation as I've heard for my car not getting the OTA yet. I figure the risk is relatively low as the only strike my car has against it is the extended-range battery. I have a relatively sedate commute: not much traffic, no hills to speak of. Winter might make me more nervous what with the extra load of heating the car and slogging through snow and slush.

If spring rolls around and I still don't have the OTA, I suppose I'll make an appointment and get the software updated at the dealership.

Has this problem happened to every model Select, Premium, GT, CA Rt 1/SR vs ER battery/AWD vs. RWD? From reading many posts on this forum I come away with it is "more" likely with a GT or GTPE and also a ER battery rather than a SR battery and AWD rather than RWD. Personally, I have a Premium AWD with a SR battery and am hoping this hasn't happened (or happened very often) with this configuration. My wife is now questioning whether we should keep the car or get a PHEV and I'm still on the fence because I basically like the car but have anxiety over the uncertainty of having the HVJB fail at some point (hopefully not being bricked and stranded because I have the software "fix" to warn me ahead of time). It would be nice to have a poll (even if not a totally scientific with a small sample size) just to get some numbers and an idea of which Mach E's of members on the board have had the HVJB replaced on their cars. Just my own insecurity I suppose but I'm looking for reassurance before I do something drastic like getting rid of the car.

I have also gotten error messages about my 12 volt battery. Several times over the past three months when I start the car the message on the status touch screen says something to the effect that the system was shut down to conserve battery power (with a sliding bar graph) and once I got an error message about the 12 volt battery on the instrument cluster that said to service it soon. When I took it in Ford could find nothing wrong After 2 days of testing). Now with this thread I'm wondering if the HV battery has something to do with this.

Almost every single car on the planet has "exposed wires" such that a rodent can eat through. My friend has a Lamborghini and just had rats eat his wiring harness, $50k job LOL. Another friend has had rats eat wires on his Range Rover on multiple occasions. He gets it fixed, about 6 months later, happens again.
FWIW a friend with similar rat-eating-insulation issues props the hoods of his cars open with a 2x4 sideways. Their rat exterminator told them to do it as rats don't like to nest in well ventilated areas... He hasn't has the problem since.
Glad I don't live in "rats" area...

Our issue some years ago was chipmunks. Ate the wires on a 1999 Grand Marquis. Neighbors keep their vehicles outdoors with no issue.

I really don't get it. I've heard of a few people getting mice in their car but I honestly never considered it a problem to even consider. I would assume it depends on the area you live in. Heavily populated areas are likely to maybe have a worse problem since there are fewer natural predators? Out my back window a while back, maybe get a few of these?

Part is in, probably will get my car back tuesday or wed. I wasn't without a car, Ford is paying for a rental. Speaking of @Ford Motor Company Your dealerships should have loaner fleets, I get it, they sold off the inventory. Bad idea. When my wife's lexus goes in for service, we always have a Lexus loaner, something at least as nice, if not nicer than what she normally drives. I get it. you don't want to loan out luxury cars. But if we are used to Mach-E's we should be driving something equivalent as a loaner. My rental from Hertz is named Becky. It is a basic bitch of a car. It is a Nissan Rogue 'Sport' I hate it more than I can possibly say.

My dealer has had my GT PE for two weeks now and still nothing. I took it in for the reduced power/stop safely now/12v battery issues/powertrain malfunction errors (and also showed them how the back door motors wouldn't work randomly). Two weeks in, they have an actuator for the right door, and a replacement seatbelt for the back seat, but no idea about the actuator for the left door (yeah they both failed). Even worse, they never looked at the HVBJB issues, they just checked that the car had the latest recall update and said it was good to go... wtf. I know the car already had the update, the issues and messages were also after the update.... ugh. They're calling me back tomorrow, glad I have the TSB number now so I can give it to them tomorrow as they clearly dont know anything. I honestly thought this whole time they were talking about trying to find the parts they were referring to the HVBJB, not the door actuator... Worse, they initially refused to give me a rental (I have other cars so not a huge deal, but still) not a great experience so far....

wow, that's pretty speedy! much better than my timeline so far:
10.05 - threw SVS Alert, I pulled DTC code P0ADE(00) myself, contacted dealer they scheduled
10.11 - dealer verification w FDRS. appointment took an hour to get in and out and start the 'special order'

Out of curiosity, why did you have the car towed when it was drivable?

Unless I cannot count, you're on the exact same timeline as him? You both had codes thrown and the part ordered 6 days later...

Yes. If you're in the metro PHL/SJ area I'd recommend Holman Ford Lincoln in Maple Shade. They've been my dealer of choice for about 3 years now. They've treated me well. They're usually even quicker to get cars in a bay but they're running busy right now; I recently scheduled my wife's Premium in to get a PowerUp that won't OTA flashed and the lead time in their scheduler was a couple weeks.

Out of an abundance of caution, and because it removed the necessity to have someone pick me up as I wasn't sure they'd have a loaner available.

Picked him up on the way home today. Seems fine. I guess we'll see.

Dropped off the wife's Premium 4x when I picked him up. Had an appointment to get some PowerUps that won't OTA flashed (apparently that's an issue with some of the units that shipped earlyish.) Car's been stuck with no BlueCruise since we got it last July. The service advisor said they'd do the HVBJB replacement if they could get the parts, even though it hasn't shown any problems (though it hasn't gotten the HVBJB firmware update either -- maybe that's why 😂).

You're trying to hold water in your hands, holy cow.

I don't even know what you're after with this 12v battery thing. All major 12v battery issues were a symptom, as explained to you. There have been the odd 12v battery drain due to software glitches - headlights switching from auto to on, IPC not turning off and draining the battery, welcome lighting triggering multiple times from PaaK and causing drain, etc. But there is no massive 12v battery issue that you seem to be trying to uncover.
I'm pretty sure you're just making a very good case for people needing to rodent-proof their garages :)
